I know these guys are mostly Bronco experts but I was surfing the net and I found a 97 F150 with stock suspension and a trac bar from james tuff and was wondering if anyone has ever seen this or has an opinion on them good or bad.

ive seen them, but not sure if i really like the design.

im gonna be making some for my truck, 5.13's are gonna give way to much axle wrap. When they are done there should be pics in my build thread.

I have a few things against me, I have a truck on stock suspension and I have a exhaust that comes out in front of the rear tire so I thought that this would be a good option

 

NOTE: I have never used them nor know anyone personally that has. I dont care fo the design but thats deffinitely not saying that they wont work and work well. Give them a try and see how they do.

I know a LOT of people who use their tractions bars on rangers, same design. I haven't heard a single bad thing about them. Rangers had lots of problems with axle wrap and everyone I know who instead the duff bars said it was a huge improvement.

It'd probably look better, be cheaper, and gives you bragging right if you just fab your own. If you can't, maybe a buddy can ?? Really nothing to it. I have made plenty for off road rigs to try and control axle wrap on super soft springs and such. I prefer one that grabs a truss over top of the axle, and then a mounting point at or below the axle. Just another option. I haven't, and know no one who has run these bars, so I can't say.

 

Sure I like the idea of building one that mounts to the bottom and top of the axle, and a shackle to the frame...
But the duff bars are said to work very well with little or no negative effects in suspension travel. Their website shows them as $99.
I would confirm that they will fit properly before buying them though.
They do make other traction bars (For 9") but these would be pretty easy to have someone build.

 

Wow, $99 ? Ok, I am surprised at that one. Figured it would be a lot more.

Looking at the ones you posted first, I could see it helping. Definately wouldn't affect flex. Looks nice, and you don't lose any ground clearence (sweet!).

Those blue ones you posted are pretty much what we put together here. Generally for one off suspensions thats been stretched or otherwise modified.

Like I said, I don't even know anyone running one of those over the top duff traction bars, so I really can't comment on them. If you get them, please do a small writeup. I would be way interested to see how ya like em !
