whats the difference

Ok guys,

I wanna go up 6 in suspension and 3 in body. I'm stuck on Rough Country or fabtech. The RC is 4to 5 the Fab is 6. The difference in cost roughly a grand less for the RC. Is the 1 to 2 inches worth a grand more? Help.

so you want 9" of lift. its probly cheaper to get a rize and use a 1" spacer to get 9" or just get a 2" spacer to get 10".

a BL install on the 04-08's you will be lucky to have installed for a $1000, then you got gap guards so another $100, fixing exhaust, trailer hitch, etc so your probly around $1300-$1500 for the BL after its all said and done
then the lift itself is about 2K installed if your lucky, not sure what shop rates are in your area.

so your at $3300 for the lift. you can get a rize for $3400ish installed i believe and will look 10x better than a BL

he has a 97... Rize doesnt sell kits for 97-03

and a body lift for a 97-03 will be anywhere from 300-500

ok,
The quality is better how? Does Rough Country lift the truck a different way? Does any one have a RC lift that can answer this question. I'm on a budget, and I see the RC lifts for about 990.00. It is for 4to5inches. Plus a BL will give me 7 to 8 inches of lift. Is the RC lift that bad?

its just what we have heard around here. theres more 97-03 F150's on this site running Fabtech

Fabtech, RCD, BDS are the best kits for these trucks. IMO

Im not a fan of Rough Country, Rancho, or any other of the similiar brands. I broke these lifts on 2 different trucks a totaly of 5 lifts.

But like they say you get what you pay for.

I think thats best. these torsion bar front ends are PICKY to say the least.

You will want to find a lift with a 1 piece front crossmember not a multi piece.

but RCD and BDS if you can find those anymore are good kits as well.

Check Ebay for the Fabtech ive seen it like 1600... which isnt horrible
