Purpose of a Leveling Kit???

I have heard that these kits will enhance the backt to stock ride , but will the addition reduce the shimmy in the steering wheel you get with rims that are 22"?
I have a 2005 F150 Lariat 2wd 5.4 thanks guys

The leveling kit does nothing to the ride comfort or feel. It just raises the front end up to make the truck look level.

The leveling kit is for us guys who dont really off road our truck....in extreme situations. I have the leveling kit, I love the looks, the ride is nice, and its still practical for everyday use. I can still get into parking garages, and its not a PITA to get in and out of. Also, it doesnt eat up your MPG's because you are in the clouds. DONT GET ME WRONG GUYS, I LOVE A LIFTED F150, BUT THE LIFT JUST DOESNT SUIT MY NEEDS! Im not bashing anyones lifted ride...I love to see a nice lifted truck, but its just not practical! Ride on guys!

Sounds like you need to get your rims re-balanced.

The leveling kit ummm it levels the front end of your truck allowing you to potentially run
bigger tires if you so choose. It remains the same factory ride. It makes your truck look
better with no or very minimal rake.

I have a new '09 4x4 super crew that I want to level. Can you guys recommend a kit or method to do this that would be best. I do not want to sacrifice ride nor do I want to do anything to make my front end parts or tires to wear prematurely. I have seen 2" kits, 2.5" kits, and 3" leveling kits...which one "levels" the truck? I certainly do not like the stock rake - a 4x4 should sit level IMHO.

Thanks for the help...

I'd go with the 2 or 2.5 inch Autospring leveling kit.
