Most '04 4x4's sat real high in the rear stock and needed a 2 1/2" kit to level them out. The later model's sat a little more level from the factory.

If you do NOT ever plan to go higher than just leveling... I recommend you get 33's! I did 35's because I intend to get a full 6" suspension some time in the near future!

Hope this helps

Cheers

Yeah I just plan on doing 33's with a leveling kit, I don't need anything bigger. What kind of tires are your 35's? They look pretty sweet!

I have a 2005 4x2 as well, I went out to my driveway one day and measure my wheel wells to the top of my tire. The fronts were 2.5" lower than the backs. So I am going to go with a 2.5" kit. You may want to take the same approach, only takes a minute to run out and check and you will be happier in the long run.

It seems like the favored leveling kit here is the Autospring kit, you can buy them directly from Autospring off eBay. I believe they are $68 now with free shipping or close to that price.

Heres a link for you if you want to see it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts...1%7C240%3A1318

As for tires, depends what you want, a/t or m/t. I have Toyo A/Ts on my truck and I love them. however you may want to go make a post in the tires and wheels section after you do a search to get some ideas.

I have an 08 XLT SCrew 4x2 with the AS 2" Leveling kit installed - see SIG.

I will be putting 285/65R18 *33's) Nitto TG's on my stock wheels tomorrow.
My truck sits perfectly level now.

I cannot wait to get the tires on tomorrow!

I installed a 2" leveling kit on my FX4 Screw. It looked great at first but then the rear settled and I was then a half inch high in the front. I just had a extra leaf added in the rear and now I am half to three quarters of an inch higher in the back. Now it looks great! This was on a 2008 FX4.

Go with the 2 1/2 Autospring. I got one from Pro Comp for free and you need to pull the spring assembly apart and it is a pain.
