How did/does everybody pay for Lifts?
Tell her to pull some of her own damn weight! I worked while in school full time, my wife worked while she was in school too. No reason yours can't. She'd better get a high-paying job when she's done if you're paying for everything now.
As most everyone else said, you work hard and save up. Sure, some kids on this site come from money and their parents give them whatever they want. No high school kid can afford a new truck with a 6" lift, new wheels and tires, etc, but they're out there.

Same here, I was lucky enough to be given such great truck
Well I don't have a lift but I can proudly say I'm paying for my truck and mods myself while going to college now. Along with rent, bills, food, gas, etc.
It's rough working 30+/wk at two jobs while keeping grades up taking engineering. I keep telling myself, though, that I will appreciate being able to look back and tell myself that I paid my own way through college.
Like everyone else has said, saving is the big deal. So hard to do, but it pays off!

What type of engineering are you studying? I graduated with an ME degree back in 2005.

I paid for mine with money. US currency to be exact. I work for a living. Nothing else to it.
Probably should add, I am single.
Helps tremendously !!

my first truck was given to me for christmas, it was a 2005 ranger edge 5-speed and it was red i had it for a year and a half 37,000 miles then i paid half for my second truck 07 sporttrac and my dad paid the other half, then i wanted the f-150, i built my credit up through small loans, credit cards, etc so i went down to ford saw a truck i liked that was 4wd talked to them told them what i wanted to pay they tried telling me it was impossible to get to that price i said to them have a good day i left my cell phone number with them 27 minutes after i left they called me asked me to come back the tried meeting me half way i said again good day i wasnt gonna pay 1 cent more than i wanted so i left they called back two days later, they said well mr bundy it looks like we have a deal, so i pay 371.75 for 5 years and i saved for the lift and this truck is 100 percent lol
