Actually, my I spoke with my brother in law earlier this morning. He said he could hook me up with a mechanic who would do it for 300 bucks. I think its the same guy who did my transmission on my last truck... I could hook you up with him if you are interested.

Seriously, thanks for all of yalls input! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I already have exhaust, X3 Troyer tunes, and a Volant Intake. Is it worth a chit? Dunno, but it sounds cool and I aint gonna change it

This afternoon, I chased down a guy with a lifted F150... He had a 4 inch lift with 18 pro comp rims, 325x65?x18 Nitto AT's. It looked pretty damn good. What surprised was that it was so much bigger than mine. I was thinking a 6" lift would be huge, but his 4" looked really good. Maybe even though it was a four, it was actually netted six like some of the Pro Comp guys get? He bought the truck as it from a dealer, and had 80k on the odometer.

I want a SMOOTH ride. Should I get aftermarket coilovers and better shocks? What does the steering dookicky actually do?

Well if your doing mostly on road driving coilovers are not a must. They are somewhat geared for offroading performance, but deliver smooth ride on the road as well. If you wanted the whole shebang coilovers are the way to go, if not youll be just as good with stock stuff. If you went with a procomp you could use the bilstein 5100's becuase procomp uses a spacer (considering you opted for no coilovers) up front. Im still not sure on the fabtech though, maybe someone else will know. As for wheels i was looking around and the XD hoss' look really classy and might go well with your KR, they look tought rapped in toyo mt's too. I beleive f150monster232 (sn?) has these rims with toyos (37's though). The steering stabilizers will just smooth out the steering, i cant say for sure how much they help as my lift does not utilize them. word of warning though, lifting is an addiction...Once you get a little, you start to want ALOT more If you want a 4" then go for it, but i think with a 6" you will be happy (for a while) and sitting pretty.

Shines, get the 6" Basic Fabtech.

It isn't a true 6" lift, only about 5.5" of total lift i got. But it looks perfect, and is the perfect height for that "lifted" look but still very functional. The tailgate is still easily accessible. 35" tires fit perfectly, and it comes with all new shocks instead of spacers. You dont need coilovers, thats just if you want the look. My truck is offroad more than 99% of the lifted trucks with coilovers on here, and i can say these Fabtech shocks ride incredibly smooth, much much better than stock. They eat up potholes and bumps like nothing else. I've been VERY impressed so far.

Also, i saw you mention you dont want to look like every other lifted truck out there. For that reason, i recommend NOT getting Toyo MTs. EVERYONE has those, lame. Look into the BFG KM2s, super quiet for an MT yet a beast offroad. Mine are wearing fantastic too.

You can get this set up
Procomp Stage I: 1200
Toyo M/T's: (35X12.50XR20) $1350 (depending if you shop around for it.)
Wheels: around a grand. Im with FX4Life on this one get the XD Hoss Wheels ill post a pic in the end of them.
Gears: $1500 INstalled.
Labor : you said $300
Total: $4350 (around there)
So for about $4500 you can nail it all out. Here are what the Hoss's look like on some Toyos.(these are 37's By the Way)

i got a rancho on my screw and i love it. rides better than stock, doesn't push real far in front, no spacer up front, 1 piece solid subframe. i don think you can buy a bad kit, i wouldnt personally buy a rough country or a dostech (spelling?) but any other ones are fine. my fenders are a tad over 44" before the flares anyway. anything is better than stock
