Every major suspension company makes lifts for 4x2's. Obviously, they do this because lifting 4x2's is popular and they can sell a lot of lifts.

It does look good. But you would lift it for the same reasons as you would lift a 4WD: ground clearance, bigger tires, better view of the road, eliminating access to underground parking, and bagging chicks. But in all seriousness, guys with 2WD do go places, and we could also use the increased ground clearance for road & trail obstacles.

if your gonna use it offroad then you have a reason to lift it. dont worry about what people think. its your truck. your money. do what ever the hell you want to do to your truck. as long as f150online community agrees with your choices! lol

I owned a 2003 F150 supercrew 4x2 and put 6" of lift on it, regeared it, put a locker in the rear, and threw on 35" tires with very little rubbing. It looked great and no one who mattered gave me crap about it. I say if you want to do it, don't let anyone stop you!

33" inch tires are good. I am currently on 32" tires with a leveling kit.

My 33" tires accually looked better than the 35" tires that I put on it...that was a live and learn lesson.

If you wanna lift your 2wd then do it its your money, your time and your truck
Live life how you want to and not how other people want you to.

I think it would look cool since your truck is an older model, it'll look like it needed to lift anyways ... or you could drop it n slam some rims... maybe cheaper.. but your needs should be the reason why would you wanna make it high.

I lifted mine. Most people say it's stupid or whatever. I don't off road, but love the look of a lifted truck, so I lifted mine. I get compliments all the time, I think you will be fine. Look at the off road racers in Cali, they are mostly 2wd and have no issues. For everyday driving the 4wd guys drive in 2wd right???? The only time they go 4wd is in a mud hole/offroading, so tell them to kiss your butt & go lift your 2wd Also, you only have 1 set of gears when re-gearing
