Is this easy to do??

My bottom leaf spring on my driver side rear leaf spring set up is off about 1 inch. What is the best way to get it back into place? Can I just jack up the rear axle, lossen the U-bolt and hit it back into alignment?

Also, what should I torque the U-bolt back to when i'm done?

thanks guys...

try just hammering it back a few times, or jack it up and hammer it back. I remember having to do this to my older truck a year or so ago, and I don't think I un-did the u-bolts or anything.

edit: even if you wanted to though, just undo the u-bolts do like you said. I'd torque em down till their good and tight with a breaker bar. I just completely dropped my rear axle to have a friend regear it, and the ubolts on there were damn tight, even with a breaker bar.

Yea, I tried hammering it back with no luck. I'll go ahead and loosen it up to hammer it back into place.

appreciate the response
