2. I understood. you said 6 inch block. My friend, you have a 4 inch lift with an AS. True, achieving 6 inches of lift, but not a 6 inch lift kit. Perhaps saying 4 inch lift kit with 2 inch as to achieve 6 inches of lift would be more helpful for people looking at your sig. Nitpicking, yes i know.

3. Again, refer to my point 1. Adding isn't your strong suite.

4. I'm happy for you. Glad you haven't noticed any premature wear on parts that are supposed to last 200k miles after only 40k. I do consider your truck lifted. I just don't understand people who buy a 4 inch lift then decide they want a bigger lift, so they throw an AS on it to get the 6 inch. Why not buy the 6 inch from the get go? My friend, having a lifted truck does not make anyone competent. Its a preference and has nothing to do with someones size.

5. You will find most kids on here, there parents bought their trucks for them. Most kids payed for their own mods.

6. 10k in mods? Whose truck are you talking about? My truck has even passed that mark. Thumps truck was probably more around 20k. Again, math isnt your strong suite.

haha, ok. I can correct this misunderstanding very easily.

1) I am 18, going to be 19 in 4 months. Lets think about this, its JULY. I am Starting my second year, so I have gone through 1 year of college. 3 years ago = 2005 and puts me as a Sophmore, that puts me in highschool. Math is not YOUR strong suit, my friend.

4) Again, I was in highschool, I paid for my lift, but lived under my father's roof. I wanted a 6" fabtech with Weld racing rims and the coilover front shocks. I ended up paying the same amount for a 4" lift I wasnt happy with. Controlling, yes. a 4" lift with 33's compared to a 6" with 35's for a 15 year old for his first truck, safer.... Yes. He was looking out for my safety.

6) Yes, thumpers. I have never seen his truck, as I said. But just by what was said about the lift, shocks and gears, I ESTIMATED (did not research on costs at that current time on each specific part, sit down with a paper and pen and add) and said OVER 10k. You are simply just trying to pick a fight at this point.

3) Refer to my above statements. Yes, I know 3 goes after 2, just fits with the writing better down here. haha

for 2 and 5, I agree with you.

Don't make a fool of yourself even more so than you've already done. It's better to let people assume your an idiot than open your mouth and prove it. It's a little too late for that I guess so keep up the good work !!

So you go way back in the thread and pick that out just to start a new arguement topic?

My last comment had no type of negetive meaning at all, I was agreeing with you, yeah, im 1 year younger, my parents started me early...?

What is the point to your post? Im sure its just to "pick a fight". I can think of no other reason.

Yeah, I was wrong. I had never read the manual on the transmision, asked anyone about it, etc. There was no way for me to know how many gears these trucks have, I never asked or looked. I never counted how many shifts I go through. Hell, when I had my 3:73, im not sure I even ever used overdrive, except for the few times when I first had my truck when I did the 115 (which is dumb, I agree. But, We all have done things of that nature. Thats where the saying "Young and dumb" comes from.). I was more concerned aabout watching the road than counting gears, however. I know nothing about transmisions. Never said I did. I wasnt giving advice or anything like that when I said that...

Happy?

Did I ever say that I knew anything about transmisions? No. Did I argue when someone corrected me? No.
Heres the post right after I was corrected:

the 3 gear thing prolly just popped into my head because our shifter says "P R D 2 1"

No, I posted in response to your last statement, found it funny about your "school" comment. Here in Florida you can't start early, you start when they say you start.

That's funny. I'm sure when I say that it was directed as a jab everyone else who read it saw it that way as well. I was pretty much done with the thread until you wanted to question my intelligence in relation to when I began school.

I thought the same thing about your post about the "school" comment.

Well it's kind of funny that you argue about differential gearing when you don't even know how many gears the transmission has or how overdrive works. In this post that I'm replying to you say that you only used overdrive a few times when you were going 115 mph. Actually, you probably were in 3rd gear doing that speed. Overdrive, 4th gear, can be hit doing 60-70 mph just cruising around town unless you had it locked off all of the time which wouldn't make any sense. That's for towing, unless you like getting bad gas mileage, but we already know that.

??????

Now im really confused. I just dont see how that post could be viewed in a negetive way....

You can start your kid in school at any age here in California. I was always the youngest in my class?

As for the differential gearing. I am pretty sure I never said I knew alot about it. In fact I said several times it was just my opinion with my experiences. I originally wanted 4:88 and the guy talked me out of it saying it was too low geared. He has been in the 4x4 industry for years and drags those 10second trucks in the dirt with paddles. Everyone around here recommends his shop, "hardcore 4x4". Anyways, I felt my truck was geared perfectly, mayybbeeee even 4:56 a little too low. JUst my opinion.

THe fact is, this is an internet forum. No one knows the other for who they really are in person for ****. Including me. Since this is a forum, It is supposed to be used only as an information "tool", correct? So, why are we making personal statements about people we dont even know?

If someone states their thoughts on a topic, and they are wrong. State what YOU think the correct answer is. And, if you are more informed on the topic, you can back it up with numbers, examples, etc... If you include these things, im sure the reader will go with the more educated on the topic at hand. There is no need to turn to the other person and start an arguement. That is not what a forum is for.

I wouldnt make another "jab" just to continue the arguement. THats just not the kind of person I am. There was a small arguement in the beggining of this thread and then we kind of settled it and moved on, remember? I was glad that it was over and posted this...

Then, my joking got misunderstood and started the second arguement. I just dont like these kinds of confrentations, even if they are on the internet. I do not like people assuming things about me, when they do not even know me. I am almost possitive the same goes for everyone else here.

I am not trying to Misinform anyone. If I am wrong, I do not mean to give the wrong information. Everyone thinks that what they "know" is right, untill they are corrected. Everyone's thoughts are their own and there is not one person on this forum that is an expert in every aspect of these trucks, unless you are the engineer and know of the specs and info on every available aftermarket part. This is why we have a forum, with everyone's knowledge put togeather, we achieve a very broad spectrum of knowledge on these trucks. Not everyone is correct on everything they say.

Basically, there is no point to this arguement, and I believe it should end here, it does not matter who got the last word or who "won" the arguement. These are just my thoughts at the moment, Im sure at least some of you agree?

Just wont stop. Well, Ill end this for you. THis is my last post. It actually kind of dissapoints me that a simple "agreed" wasnt said. All I was saying was to stop the arguement, right then. I dont care if I "lost" the arguement. It just needed to end. All this text has to be stored somewhere and costs someone money, somewhere, somehow. Nothing is free. Lets save the server space for useful information.

I dont know why you would want to continue this. What is the point of it? Thanks for your response, SaLL.
