+6 inch replacement shocks?!?!
That's quite ironic. I do find it humorous you're arguing with people who know much more about these trucks than you do, especially when a few of them were trying to help. I mean, it's pretty bad when you don't even know how many gears the transmission is ... How old are you? I can't really tell from the typing and the screen name Ford"Boy" but it sounds like probably around 17. If not, you're one very immature person.

As for the spelling, Im not trying to write and impressive essay, I am typing fast and not correcting errors, so what?
My name is Ford"boy" because thats what my dad has always called me since I got my truck. The rest of my family has chevys. I will always be a boy in his eyes, even when im 30. As for my age, Im a second year in college, do the math.
That's funny, no wait that's hilarious. Guess what? I'm on my second year of college as well. Anyways, I find it ironic that the pot is calling the kettle black. Telling other people to not assume things but than earlier you wanted to ***ume what had happened regarding my previous trucks, my family, and my current car. Since you're the same age as myself, I could tell you the same thing, but I'm more mature than that. If you'd like to know what happened, I don't mind typing a little more, especially just to prove you otherwise. I've got some time to burn before the fight.
Dear Thumper,
Why, What happened to you regarding your 3 vehicles at the age of 19-20? How did you acquire these vehhicles, sir?

I will read it later, take your time. I have things to do.

Dear FordBoy,
I've got family connections with a very large Ford dealership. I get my vehicles for nearly cost. I paid $27,000 for a $40,000 truck. That truck was a lemon, anyone that was around in 2004, could tell you that. So the dealership ended up getting me into a 2006 F150 that was basically the same other than the color without any money from me. I sold the truck as of recently and got the Mustang GT. Walked away with cash in my pocket and a smaller payment. Insurance was $11 more a year. As far as paying for things, easy. Full time job. School is completely paid for by scholarships. I mean you're the same age as me so you should understand it's possible. Now that you've been educated about my personal situation. What's your story? I'm quite curious. With all of that said, the point is don't assume things about other people on the internet. Don't give people bad advice about things you don't know about.
Sincerely,
Thumper

Don't be jealous man its ok. No need to dis on someone if you don't know what your talkin about because he has a 2in. leveling kit ontop of his lift therefore its a 6inch lift
We have another know-it-all folks.
1) 4x4 kid is interested...? Thats a reply? The last 3 posts from me were all posted within like, 30 minutes.
2) my "4" Rancho" has autospring spacers in the front and I have 6" fabtech blocks in the rear. That leads me to the point of my truck sitting 6" higher than stock.
...I actually am right around 7" to be exact. Im sitting about 1 " higher than my friend's fabtech.
Anything else you want to assume without asking?

2. You have a 4 inch lift. You added either 2 or 2.5 inch with the spacers. But you still have a 4 inch lift kit. You added the fabtech 6" for the rear? Im unfamilar with this block. You mean the 5"? Did you take out the stock 2"? Or did you stack it? Leaving it 7" higher than stock or 3" higher than stock in the rear/
3. Math isnt ur strong suite

Jealous? Ya, im jealous of his "lifted" truck. That along with his great CV angles.
1. you bitch about fuel mileage and topping out at 115? What kind of person drives a lifted truck 115? Leads me to believe you are a "boy".

1) I wasnt bitching about gas milliage..? Thumper said there might be something wrong with my truck, and I was like, well... I DO only get 10mpg, maybe there is something wrong....
and for the top end, I wasnt bitching, I was just saying that I lost mph on the top end when I re-geared it because I was told you wouldnt loose any, but I did. I also said that I did that when I was in highschool. I was about 15-1/2 - 16. Yes, I was a boy. Read more carefully.
2) I meant the block for the 6" fabtech lift, sorry if you didnt understand. The actuall block is not 6" tall, itself
3) You dont even know me. I ace every Economics class and math class. Just finished STATS with an A. How can math not be my "strong suit"?

Anyways, My story? Ive only had 1 truck... but, my parents bought my truck for me in 05 for 26k. Nothing special, Its a new truck and im very fortunate to have it, im just saying, no leather or any of that kind of stuff, but im definately happy with it. Most kids end up driving around old beater cars.
Back to my "story"... My parents bought the truck, I have done everything else. My junior year of Highschool I built a 5' x 10' Hydrualic dump trailer. Got the loan, ordered the steel, cut/welded every piece, painted it, wired it, etc... and made about $5200 on that. Its not rocket science, but I think somone would have a tad bit of trouble building a hydrualic dump trailer if math wasnt their strong suit, "Gators".
That paid for my lift, rims, tires, etc. As for the other mods, just work work work. I work about 30 hours a week plus my classes, a little less in highschool, and it has taken me years to do the mods to my truck, you sure you havent gotten any help? By what I am hearing about your last truck, seems like you had over 10k in it. All in about 1 year?

Called him a smart *** joking around because of the way he said it. I even said that. Notice the "haha". Sorry, maybe I should have added a "jay-kay"

But then when he "snaped back" I didnt appreciate it since I didnt mean anything by it in the first place. INsulting my truck that I put alot of time and effort into? Whats with that? Calling it a "turd"? I know he was just saying to try to "hurt me" hahahaha. but it just shows how rude of a person he probably really is. No one here knows the other for who they really are. Its a forum.
isnt this the kid who jumped his truck on the dunes (intelligent) and popped tires/bent his rim?
As for the "intelligent" part, I wasnt hualling *** trying to get air like most of the dumbasses out on the dunes. There was a ridge the was pretty sharp on the top, I was prolly going about 10mph, I had some speed, but you need it to get up a sand dune, DUuuuurrr. Anyways, went up, there was a drop-off on the otherside, no way I could have seen it. Yes, even YOU couldnt have avoided it. The dunes change because of wind, I have been out there pretty much my whole life and know how to drive out there. Just an unlucky sharp *** drop-off.
By the way, the tires did not "pop" haha. The one side where the rim was cracked, pretty much in half, yeah, that tire was flat. Air tends to escape from gaping holes in rims.
Well, that was a nice little essay.... I hope I explained myself enough to satisfy you all. I am still expecting you to pick out little details and twist things to make an arguement, however.

To me, this is interesting. How people can misconstrue and change things to mean something in their own mind.
1) I wasnt bitching about gas milliage..? Thumper said there might be something wrong with my truck, and I was like, well... I DO only get 10mpg, maybe there is something wrong....

2) I meant the block for the 6" fabtech lift, sorry if you didnt understand. The actuall block is not 6" tall, itself
. I have measure it before, Its more like, 5-1/4 isnt it? lifting the rear about 4 inches from stock height? If your truck sits +6 inches, it is a 6 inch lift. Period. THe rcd lift has a 4" subframe lift, and has adjustable shocks to bring it from 4.5 to 6. THey state it is a 6" lift. My truck is a little talller than a 6" lift, so who cares if it is via a spacer? I wont even have a spacer soon, because I have 6" struts coming...
3) You dont even know me. I ace every Economics class and math class. Just finished STATS with an A. How can math not be my "strong suit"?
40k miles later, ball joints are still in great shape, nothing rubs, tires arent sucked in more than the rear, rides fine, what is wrong with having the a-arms raked if there are no negetive side effects...? What do you consider a "lifted" truck? an 8-14" lift that doesnt fit in parking structures and is a pain to drive around just so people can look at your "lifted" truck to make you feel compitent and compinsate for your short-comings?
Well at least You dont have a smart *** tone to your response, thats a plus. And no, Im not trying to be a smartass, myself. Just stating. Gotta clear that up sonce so many people read something and turn it to be negetive in their own mind.

2. I understood. you said 6 inch block. My friend, you have a 4 inch lift with an AS. True, achieving 6 inches of lift, but not a 6 inch lift kit. Perhaps saying 4 inch lift kit with 2 inch as to achieve 6 inches of lift would be more helpful for people looking at your sig. Nitpicking, yes i know.
3. Again, refer to my point 1. Adding isn't your strong suite.
4. I'm happy for you. Glad you haven't noticed any premature wear on parts that are supposed to last 200k miles after only 40k. I do consider your truck lifted. I just don't understand people who buy a 4 inch lift then decide they want a bigger lift, so they throw an AS on it to get the 6 inch. Why not buy the 6 inch from the get go? My friend, having a lifted truck does not make anyone competent. Its a preference and has nothing to do with someones size.
5. You will find most kids on here, there parents bought their trucks for them. Most kids payed for their own mods.
6. 10k in mods? Whose truck are you talking about? My truck has even passed that mark. Thumps truck was probably more around 20k. Again, math isnt your strong suite.
