According to Procomp you cant run the stock rims with their lift. Not sure if anyone is running that setup.

Iv seen people run the 6" pro comp with stock rims and bigger tires. looks sorta cheezy. I would think there would probably be some rubbing though. but your really better off to get a set of wheels and have it all work right. iv got a 2 year old set of 20" centerlines and 325/65r/20 bfg A/T, i think theres a pic in my gallery if your intrested. ill let them go really cheep.

It will work and it won't work at the same time.

Explanation: I tried this when I took a trip to Colorado. I have the factory 17" XLT wheels and tires. They bolt on fine, the go down the road fine but when you turn, the outter tie rod ends rub on the inside of the wheel lip since on the pro-comp lift you rotate the tie rod end 180 degrees and it goes in from the top facing downwards on the new spindle. It really limits your ability to turn sharp. It worked for my trip since it was mostly all highway - just have to be really careful not to turn too sharp. I would not recommend it for daily driving as it was really annoying having to back up a time or two just to get into a parking spot without rubbing.

Would the stock 20" rims and tires work w/ the procomp 6" lift? I'm trying to do my lift in stages to prevent the big dump of cash out of my accounts.

You will increase your roll over rate even more than the rest of us with stock tires becouse the stanse is not as wide.

i wouldn't do it i didn't have factory wheels but i had aftermarket 18's with to much positive offset set and they rubbed bad on my tie rods and dual steering stabalizer, so i opted for 22's to clear all that stuff.
