im using a 2 ton jack.....my axel perch was rusted to the leafs...thats why it wouldnt come apart...so it made me think that center bolt holding the leafs together was what was causing the whole axel to rise when i raised the frame..i thought maybe it was bolted to the perch...im new at this

 

I thought you were trying to seperate the spring pack to put in an AAL

 

ok that makes sense, you just had to let us know the axle wouldnt break free from the leafs. im assuming since you know this now that youve figured it out. good luck on finishing it. pics when your done
