The 4.6L is actually quite a bit bigger than the 460. The 460 just slips right in there.

side question

mrsandman818,

where did you get that fabtech baja light bar? I'd like to get a light bar similar to the one you have, or at least the same style but I can never find one. Thanks for your help

you guys do understand that there is nothing similar about a 460 to a mod motor right? everything under the hood would have to be changed. to much pissin around. like i said see it to believe it

I'm sure with all the other mods the truck was probably just a fun project. Th guy was probably very skilled and just took his time on weekends and stuff to work on it. You never know just guessing. Anything is possible with a sawsall and a welder

I completely understand that. Have you ever seen a carbuerated 460? The swap would be so simple its not even funny. Heres what you do (paraphrased).

1) ****** everything that has anything to do with the computer system to the stock motor and transmission out. (minus a couple of things I'm sure)

2) Build new motor mounts and transmission mounts, slide 460 and C-6 in, hook up throttle linkage, starter cable and turn key (again, paraphrased, but you get my point).

I have seen this swap done on quite a few newer F-150's and it seems to work every time. Granted, its not for street use, but they make hella off-road trucks. Especially with the 2 1/2 ton axles that are factory geared at something like 6.13:1. I think it would be fun as hell to do this swap and tear it up in the mud holes.
