3in spindles on a 99 2wd?

I seen a ad for a 3 in spindles for the 97 to 03 2wd trucks. If I would buy this spindles for my truck what size tire would I be able to fit? A tire size that would not make me regear the truck. I have 355 gears right now. Would I be able to use my stock rim? Can I still use the stock shocks? Is there any problems that a spindle lift cause my truck? Does anyone have a pic of a truck with just a 3 or 3.1/2 spindle lift 2wd? Thanks Ben

You should be fine running 33's on stock or aftermarket wheels. As long as the spindles are not make by AIM/Chasis Tech you should be fine.

I have a 2000 2wd. I just finished the install of a 3" body and of the 3" rough country spindle lift. 6" should be plenty to fit 35's which is what I was trying to fit, but in order to get the 35's on I had to do some serious trimming. Long story short...not sure if the 3" spindle actually gave me 3" lift. I plan on posting pics soon.

You use oem lenght shocks up front. Out back will depend on how tall a block you use.

Its pretty hard to mess up a spindle. but like wandell said stay away from anything made by AIM. I bought doestch tech spindles for my last f-150 and they ran great! i was running 32" tires. but i say run 33" with aftermarket rims. if you keep the stock rims, you might be able to squeeze a 315-70-17 with a little rubbing. i would go ahead and replace all the shocks and make sure u get a two inch block for the rear to even the thing out!

f150Lariatc. My year truck came with 16 wheels stock. But I think that I going to go with a spindle lift w/ blocks in the rear. Thanks for the info guys. Ben

My last truck was a 99 2wd with a 3.5" spindle lift. Originally I planned on running 285/75/16s (33") but ended up going with 265/75/16s, and Im glad I did, because even they rubbed. I had them mounted up on 16x8 wheels, Im not sure what the backspacing was though. I had 3.55s in the rear too, and with the 285s I would have had a 60 second 0-60 time I think. That was with a 4.6 though too..

Check out my gallery if you would want to see some pics...

If I would buy this spindles for my truck what size tire would I be able to fit?
-like wandell said somewhere around 33's(285/75/16)
Would I be able to use my stock rim?
-that depends on how wide the tire is, i believe the rule is 4.5 inches wider than the wheel is the max. so for the stock 7.5in wide wheel 11.5 would be the max
Can I still use the stock shocks?
-you can with a spindle lift but with bigger tires youll want a better quality but stock lenght shock. for the rear if your going to lift it youll need new longer shocks.
