2002 F-150 Project 6" Suspension, 3" Body, 38's, 4.56 gears *pics*

Building up a truck at work for a customer. It is a 2002 F-150 FX-4. We are currently installing the 4.56 gears. Then it is getting a 6" Skyjacker lift, 3" body lift, 38.5" Thornbirds, with 16" Mickey Thompson Classic wheels. The customer picked out the everything the way he wants it to be. I don't have any other info than that at this time - but I will try to take pics and keep the thread updated as the project progresses. Sorry for the crappy pics - all I have is my old camera phone at work.

Update

Tires and lift are here - should start the lift install yet this week. I will keep the pictures coming as it progresses. Here are the tire pics, again, sorry, camera phone quality.

38.50x14.50x16
Holy cow are those tires a soft tread!!! I can't imagine he will get more than 15-20,000 miles out of them tops!!

As far as price goes - I believe the gears with parts and labor was pretty close to $2,000. Not sure how much the lift, tires, and wheels are. I will try to find out.

I was told the whole entire set up installed with labor and everything is running $5,700.

$2000 to regear
$2000 for the lift kit
$1700 for wheels and tires

Here is the lift kit waiting to be installed - should be started tomorrow. 6" Skyjacker lift with rear leaf springs. I believe the 3" body lift is by Tuff Country.

More Progress Pics

Finishing up front end install.

Tires are mounted and balanced on Mickey Thompson Wheels. I asked how they balanced these tires. I was told they didn't use any weights at all - they installed some sort of beads inside of the tire so when it spins it is supposed to balance itself out.

Done for today. Basically just have rear leaf springs to install and get an alignment.
