SWB SuperCab's? How about some pics?

After trading my 2000 Scab for my 2005 Scab SWB I have been trying to find some pics and see what others have done. Seems like the SWB Scab is kinda rare.

So, let's see'em...

Thanks Keith! Well, after driving it for a few days now I like the way it currently rides but the tires are horrible on anything but pavement or gravel roads. I'm first off gonna replace the tires with some kind of A/T in a little larger tire, 265/70 or whatever I can get on it without lifting it just yet. Down the road a bit I would like to do a Rize or a Fabtech and 35-37" tires. The thing about the new truck is I have sooo many more options for what to do, I just think the newness has to wear off a little before I start mod'n.

Oh yeah...I like your S2000....here was my other baby

*now SOLD*

Actually I guess it's not a SWB because it's probably the same WB as the regular cab/standard bed, it just has the short(er) bed and short(er) WB than the Screw or Scab standard bed. So I guess SWB is not the right wording really.

Wow that kinda got complicated...

I told my self I was going to wait too, but after being on this site for a little while I was convinced to get her lifted. I am VERY glad i did. i like driving my truck around town 10x more (at least). You got a good looking truck there man! congrats!

Hey MercedesTech, how is the noise with the Extreme M/T? I had Firestone Destination M/T on my 2000 and they were pretty noisy. I think I'm gonna try to stay away from something so luggy and go with something more A/T but if those Ex M/T's are fairly quiet (they seem to have closer lugs) I could go for those. I really like them.

Oh Yeah, thanks and nice truck!

That truck is sweet! I actually drove past the same truck, colour, etc on the local Acura dealers lot. I'm half tempted to sell my '99 F150 and upgrade to this 2004 but... I like having no-payments, and she's running fine. Oh, what to do...

I personally LOVE these tires! They perform outstanding! And lately we have had some slight flooding around here so i get to drive on pavement through puddles and they keep great traction (haven't tried snow yet) and when off-roading or playing in the mud, they are GREAT! Air em down just a bit and they get a GREAT bite and have pulled me through a number of mud holes already. However they are fairly loud. This is a hard question since something to me may seem dead silent, and to you its extremly annoying. these tires do have a nice hum going down the road but I was pleasantly surprised by how *slight* this hum actually was. Around town they seem to me almost completely quiet, but out on the highway you *can* hear them, but turn the radio up just a tad and they are quickly drowned out. Like i said, I am a pretty big fan of these tires, they have treated me good so far.
Since you are a little hesitant about a loud M/T , I would honestly suggest trying out the Pro-Comp Extreme A/T . Another GREAT tire (imo) and they look a million times meaner in person vs. online or in pics. Those tires may be more up your alley. Fairly quiet, last a good long time (tread warranty of 40k) and get you great traction when ya need it.

Yeah, the Extreme A/T and the Terra Grappler were two I really like in the A/T category. My Firestone's were fairly loud even around town at slow speed to the point of making people riding with me think the truck was running rough while driving really slow because you could actually FEEL the lugs at slow speeds. I have had the BFG M/T and they were similar but not quite as bad. The Firestone were a great tire and handled well on the hilly curvy roads (and of course off road) here in middle TN but they are LOUD.

I haven't seen either A/T tire above on a truck in person but I think I would like them.
