TN-F150 : Ya, sounds like your best bet would be the pro-comp extreme A/T. Trust me they look SWEET in person. Dam near look like a M/T. If you use the "search" function up above on this site, im sure plenty of topics and pics will come up (as for just about any major tire).

adeese660: SWEET TIRES !!

man i love the short beds. im thinkin about getting one myself so ive been trying to see what people have been doing with them on here but ive had the same problems. noone seems to have one. you truck looks great though. theres a truck around my house its a red fx4 short bed scab with gray across the bottom. it has 20 inch chrome moto metal 951? i think with it loks like 35s on a 6 inch lift it looks amazing i would definitely recommend a setup like that

If ya don't mind, and i am not trying to insult by any means, just curious. Why do you guys choose a truck that has a shorter bed? Do any of you use the bed? Haul ? ATV's ? Dirt bikes? I think it looks spectacular on your guys trucks. i really do, but what about functionality ? I wanted the long bed on mine, but they just look way too goofy (IMO !!) Would any of you guys buy a tool box ? Just wonderin

I have nitto TGs. Check the gallery for more.

I agree with you MercedesTech - I don't like the short bed. It looks pretty darn nice on the scabs, but seems a little useless. I wish I had the long bed (8') personally.

I'm not sure if they are the tires from the factory. I bought the truck with 19,000 miles on it. They are BF Goodrich T/A P275/65R18

I have no complaints. They get around good enough in the snow so I am not replacing them until I have to.

To be honest, when I bought the truck I didn't even think about the size of the bed. I have hauled my motorcyle in it twice. I have to leave the tailgate down but that makes no difference to me.

Hey man, everyone has their own taste and I'm glad Ford gives us options. I don't take offense at all. I'm glad we all like different configurations. I like them all but prefer the short look and I don't use my truck to haul large things anyway. A toolbox doesn't interest me and I don't have a motorcycle or ATV. I rarely haul anything that hangs out of the bed. I had 4 trucks picked out to look at with several configurations then when I saw this one, that was it, it was the one I wanted. I have searched the galleries and have seen a lot of trucks and the flaresides and shorter trucks look awesome lifted. I guess I like the short stocky look with big tires and a short bed...I don't know...I just love the look.

My father-in-law thinks I'm crazy. He has a 2004 XLT 4x4 regular cab long bed and says he would never buy a truck with less that a 8' bed. He says if I can't haul a 4x8 sheet of plywood, I don't want it. I have yet to see him haul any 4x8 sheet of plywood. I figure if I need to buy or haul something so big I need that big bed, I will have it delivered or picked up. Besides, they are only 12" shorter and there is always the bed extender.

And yeah the long beds do look goofy.

One example of the short look:

Cool...I've had BFG's before, the M/T, and they do ride good and perform well on and off the road.

I have a long bed and I just didn't think about it when I was shopping. I like the look of the short bed better. But, I have added a add a leaf and 2.5" leveling kit and it helped. I think if I can get around 4" of lift or so it will look much better.

You've got a nice truck there mbogosia.

I think all Ford trucks are good lookin' trucks and lifting one just gives it that little extra that just blows away the other brands even more in looks. Performance and reliability too. Long bed or short, they all look better and perform better than the competition!

TN-F150 and jjr8214 :
Thanks for the honest answer guys. i was just curious to see if you guys went out looking for a small bed, or just picked one out based on looks and didn't know it was the smaller bed or what. Also was interested if these small beds do any hauling and its nice to see a guy does haul his bike around (forgot about the tailgate/bed extender) Like i said, the short bed looks sweet on the scabs... but for me, I need to be able to haul stuff (ATV's and tons of body panels and other random crap for work) around and having that extra foot and no need to drop my tailgate is sweet. I want a toolbox but i think it would take away too much room in my bed.
mbogosia: If you end up lifting your truck some more please post. I don't think I have seen a long bed with a decent lift and tires yet. I think that may "off-set" the odd look (my opinion) enough to make me want one yall got some sharp lookin trucks

i got the short bet and wish i had a longer bed, just cant fit much inside of it i can fit bike and stuff but its really tight, so i went with a bed extender works pritty well and gives about enough foot and a half
