Wow that kinda got complicated...
A regular cab 6.5ft bed truck has a shorter wheelbase than a supercab 5.5ft bed truck. I know the wheelbase on the supercab 5.5ft bed is 133.5 inches. Not sure of the regular cab but I am positive it is shorter.

Based on what info I found on the web this morning, you are correct it is *barely* shorter. I put all the dimensions in a little spread sheet to see all at once. None of them are that far apart really, except for the 8' bed. This is based on '08 specs but I doubt there is much difference from all the way back to '04. I didn't know you could not get a 6.5' bed SuperCrew??

Thanks! Your truck can go one of two ways! Modified or stock and it will still look good! I actually almost bought a white leftover 07 like yours but, but I found another dealership 4 hrs away selling 08 FX4's for about the same price. Its obvious which choice I made! Good luck with whatever it is you decide to do!

Thanks, right now all I have planned is 2" AS leveling kit and a set of 33" BFG Mud MK2's on my factory 17's. Maybe later down the road I'll look at more lift and bigger tires and wheels. I already know now if I do, I will go with a Rize lift. They look like a first class kit, as well as the Fabtech kits.

BTW, I have flown on a few of those.
