didnt mean to bash you by saying its going to break but i cant see how our hubs, stock UCA's and 8.8" rear end can handel 12"s of lift and 40'' tires. atleast your tires arent 15.5 or wider, that would cause more wear aswell. although i love wide tires. did you say if your regearing or not? you should do it now while the front dif is out.

No harm done, and yes I'm installing 4.88 gears, but I'm having 4WP do it for me. That's the only thing I can't do myself.

but you can bring you're front differential in right now and have them do it so they dont have to uninstall your lift and have it cost $400 more. just a thought. thats what i would do.

8.8" rear end? We've got the the 9.75" .. The only time you get a 8.8" rear end is if you've got the 4.6L or the V6.

I don't think I've ever heard of a 5.4 having an 8.8 rear end, but I've seen some strange things. Hell my f150 has a 5.4 w/ a 9.75 rear end (axle tags to verify) yet the axle tubes only fit 8.8 seals.
