although, i get these b!the$ that tell me..."guys who drive lifted trucks have to compensate for something small downstairs." Although this is not my issue at all, i just thought it was pretty funny, thats where this bro hype comes into play. I aint no bro, just a guy with a large truck and a large cack.

 

Don't get me wrong, its a good truck. I haven't had any problems with it the three years i've had it. Just a little boring interior wise.

I didn't lift mine, just leveled it with 35 MT's.

I did it mainly for looks, I'm not afraid to admit it, as I absolutely could not stand the way it looked from the factory.

I also do some very mild OR'ing but certainly not enough to justify the 3K-plus I spent.

We all lift our trucks for the same primary reason, the looks. Most of these trucks never see any serious offroading and why is that? Because by the time you purchase the truck and then mod it you probably have $40k or more invested. Not many sane people actually gonna take a $40k investment and tear it up offroading.

I bought my 2WD for that exact reason, I knew I would never really take it offroading. I also didn't live in a snow climate and still don't and never have any plans to do so. I would really have very little reason to ever engage 4WD if I had purchased a 4WD. I saved $4k on the initial purcahse and used that to mod my truck. I make no claims that it's 4WD, never wanted anyone to think it was a 4WD. It looks just as good as most lifted trucks on this site whether that truck be 2WD or 4WD.

I say 2wd should have 2.5" Leveling kit, and 35" MT's. At the most. Thats what I'm doing, it just makes it look more bad ***. (JUST MY OPINION)
