Lifts?!?

First of all i have a question about suspension lifts. I have a 04 NBS 2WD f-150. I was wondering what are my options as far as lifts with a 2WD truck. I know fabtech makes a 6" lift for 2wd but are there any other options? Also if i went 6" what is the biggest size tire less than 35" that i could fit on my OEM 20's?

Thanks,
Trent Kammerer

Pro COmp also makes a 6 inch lift for the 04-08 4x2's.

I dont want anything like a 12" lift. 6" is as big as i could possible go because i want to stay away from 35" tires. Are there no 4" lifts for a 2WD truck? If i got the 6" would 33" tires look just rediculous or would they be ok for a 16 year old with not enough gas money to feed 35's. I recently went from a stock XL with 17's to a 2.5 AS + oem 20's and i really want to go bigger!!

RIght. Keep in mind since you have a 4x2, it sits about 2 inches lower than a 4x4. So if you install a 6 inch lift, you will be at about the height of a 4x4 with a 4 inch lift. If you go with a wide 33, like a 325/60-18, it will look fine.

Christmas!!!!!!

Ok. Thank you guys. So a 6" procomp with 33's. I have the 2.5 autospring right now should i expect to reuse the spacer or just leave it off? If i leave it on i will have to get an AAL to make it sit level right? But i could leave the spacer off and have good CV angles and not have to have a AAL and still look like a 4x4 with a 4" lift w/ 33's right? I hope i am understanding this all right.

Also i noticed you said a 325-60R18. I would like to reuse my OEM 20's which i really like the look of. I know my factory size is 275-55R20. What size would the 325-60R18 convert to in a 20 inch size?

Thanks for all you help!!!

Trent,

You might need to stick with a 12.50 inch wide tire. Im not sure if you can fit a 13.50 inch tire on a stock rim. ( I think they are 7.5 inches wide.)

If its a Pro Comp stage I kit you cant use your AS spacer. The kit acheives lift with its own spacer.

If you want to use YOUR spacer, you should look at fabtech and I think rancho stage 1s. Im sure about the fabtech, not so sure about the rancho.

Yes you will probably want an AAL in the back if you leave the AS on.

Good Luck Bro!

do not put the leveling kit back on unless you go with a fabtech. you would be stacking spacers and thats asking for trouble.

It was just a question, I am not being judgmental of the guy. I have a son and if he has a job that can afford him these toys then I would like for my son to get one. Due to the fact that I may go in with him and get him a Jeep that was all. So good luck with your truck
