Want a better softer ride !!

No responce and don't much blame anyone...Ha!!

Ok--Ok, what about this:
Will the frt & rear springs off a std F150 fit my L ?

=========================================

I want my 99 Lightning to ride as good as (or better) than my 03 ext cab F150.

I love the power but i'm over the drag business and it's a daily ride now and would like a softer more cushioned ride.

Yep, I know ----- totally backward from what I wanted 2 yrs ago.

I would switch from gas charged shocks to a standard oil shock, like a procomp ES3000.

they may be less expensive, but from the seat of the pants meter, they feel better than gas charged shocks on the Jeep. they really absorb bumps and are smooth both on and off road. They are basically a less expensive Rancho RS5000, but to me, seem to not be quite as stiff. I am running Monroe Reflex (gas) on the f150 and they greatly improved highway handling, no doubt. much stiffer compared to stock. do a seach on ES3000 and see other comments

councillor is looking for a softer ride, so my general comment would be to stick with an oil shock vs a gas charged shock, based on my experience

Thats right bbarton, a softer ride is what I'm after for me right now. I'll save these shocks for later as they remind me of the old Go-Kart race days ..Ha!!

Anyhow, thanks to all.

pardon my french, but why in the hell would u change your suspension to make it a softer ride. you are killing the trucks intentions. the power that a lightening makes is way to much to hand standard suspension. ford uses that suspension for reasons such as handling. if your go softer it will kill the handling. not to mention the the tire hop youll be giving yourself if u ever decided to step on it again. youll end up doing more damage to your car. axle rap is another con with doin this
