Installing AS 2" Leveling Kit

Well, after much deliberation, I finally broke down and bought the AS 2" leveling kit for my 06 skrew. It should be here any day. Does anyone have any suggestions on who might be able to do the install and alignment on the northwest side of houston at a reasonable price? I don't really have a mechanic anymore since I don't drive a beater anymore. I need to find someone on this side of town I can trust. Anywhere in the Tomball, Spring, Willowbrook general area will do.

Before and after pictures coming soon to a forum near you!

Thanks!

Check out the link. It'll walk you through the install. I plan on doing mine this weekend.

Umm... yeah... I've got way too much on my plate right now to spend a weekend taking my truck apart. I'd rather spend a couple hundred bucks and get it done right... and quick.

So, I've got the kit in hand... now I just need to find someone to install it. No suggestions on the north side of Houston at all??

Thanks

It only takes an hour or two, if that changes your mind at all.

Do it yourself and save some money, if not take it to BigO or somewhere like that.

Skrewit,
Glad to see someone from my old stomping grounds. I understand your situation - it's easy to do the install on this thing if you have a garage & already own all of these tools. I went to Sears and started picking up everything I needed for the install, once I had over $100 worth of tools already in my cart, I said screw it and began calling mom & pop tire shops here in El Paso.

Alot of places weren't interested in doing the install so I called a 4wheel specialist in town and got the following quote: $95 for the install, $95 for the alignment, and $65 for my AAL on the rear. I'm taking my truck in tomorrow.

If I were you, I'd start with any of those local tire shops in Tomball. Those guys were always the cheapest for me & I think they'd be willing to do the install. If that doesn't pan out, call the 4wheel parts on 1960 to at least get a starter quote. Good luck!

To those of you who insist on telling me it's easy to do and I should just do it myself... please... that wasn't my question. I thought I made that clear in my second post. I understand it's easy to do. I understand I could probably do it in a few hours... after I buy whatever tools I might need and clean out my garage that is full of materials because I'm in the midst of renovating my house - myself. However, I'm not doing the install myself. Deal with it.

Aresenalgunner - 4 wheel parts on 1960 was the first place I went. They wanted to sell me whatever spacers they provide (I think Daystar maybe?) and do the install and alignment for $500. I laughed and walked out.

I stopped in the Louetta Automotive shop, that is right by my house, and the manager there seemed very hesitant to do it. He told me he had only installed one once before and the customer hated it and had nothing but problems. Whatever. Next!

I guess I'll just keep asking around.

Thanks!

This is exactly why I told my wife I need to start a mobile (traveling) modification outfit I'd be there and do it for you for a reasonable amount

Innovative Trucks indeed! They installed my 2" AS and aligned my truck on Friday morning at a pretty reasonable price... and had it back to me after lunch. It sure looks sweet now! I'll post some pics as soon as the rain clears up and I can wash the beast.

Thanks for the tip!

Skrewit, your truck ought to look great leveled out. Glad you found somebody reasonable to do it! Some of these truck shop's ought to have a Pirate's flag flying in front the way they try to screw customer's.

Pirates is right...it's a shame there aren't more honest and ethical service providers in this country.
