im new and have a question

hi! im 17 and i just got a 99 F150 for a grad present. i ride dirt bikes, so i want a nice offroad lift, and good suspension for the bikes in the back. im thinking like 3inches in front and maybe 2-3 in the back(blocks). i did a search and i didnt come up with anything...but that doesnt mean much, considering im blonde im not too familiar with trucks or modern cars.but i have been wrenching on old cars (VW's) since i was 11( i restored a 58 bug), so im not afraid to get greasy.

so my question is what is the minimum amount of lift i can go for a set of 35" tires on a 99 f150 on 16" rims? i read about jacking up the torsion in the front...but will that give me clearance? also how high can i go before i have to change the control arms and stuff in the front??

the reason for 35"s, is i can get a deal on them and it is a really good deal that i dont wanna pass up.

thanks in advance for your help...... bare with me...im learning

to fit 35" on a 4x2, i would say 6" suspension, or a 3" body with a 3 1/2" suspension. i would get a 6" fabtech with 35" would look good IMO

I agree. I'd go with the Fabtech lift also.
