two diff. reccomendations?
ok so i went into this local shop a few months ago, and they said to get a 6" fabtech w/ 35's..and they said that a body lift would cost a ton to install. but i went in yesterday to get some blind-spot mirrors
and some new guy works there and he reccomended a 6" fabtech w/ 3" body lift and 37's (never mentioned it would cost a ton to install the body lift). now my quetion is, what would you guys most likely do..i really want an agressive looking lift, and BIG tires, so im kinda leaning towards the 6" w/ 3" Body lift..what do you guys think. also its gonna be my daily driver.

Should never mix a body lift with suspension lift because the body lift and suspension companies will never honor their warranty if something happens to your truck because they'll blame it on each other. Why not go with an 8" Rize lift? Body lifts look bad and are difficult to install so by the time it's all said and done you'd be better off with an 8" lift
I've seen more than a hand full of body lifts that look great on 01's if they're done right... Id say get the 6in fab and 3in body. If its done right, I dont see it having n e problems. Performance accessories looks like it makes an impressive body lift, thats what I'm gunna get. Depeding on how you like your ride, you could always mess with the torsion bolts for a couple 1 or 2 inches, it'll make your ride stiffer tho... Or just go with the 6inch fab and then later on you could always add a body lift on. Hell you can get body lifts for less than 200.
good luck!

I agree with Case45. However, remember the taller you go and the taller tire you run the more cost involved. Yes, labor cost are high on body lift installations because of the amount of time they take to install. They are not that hard on our trucks, but they are tedious, time consuming work. Also, with 35's you can probably get away without regearing, but you will have to regear with 37's. Also, I'd stay away from the aftermarket torsion bar adjustment keys.
Wandell - how hard to you think it would be to install a body lift myself in my driveway w/ my dad..we are pretty good @ working on cars, but be honest w/ me.. how hard would it be? and how long do you think it would take...should i just get the shop to do it and pay the extra money?
