You know what Ross Ive been thinking about that all day
Thats the only thing Id like to add to it, I love the ride hight on this truck. I've heard a lot of good things about those Toyo Open Country's. Id like to stuff the biggest mud or all terrain tires I could on the stock rims. I really dig the stock rims my FX-4 came with. VERY PLEASED!!

Your 100 percent right though! I always catch myself looking at other rigs and say to myself, maaaan why the tiny tires on that nice truck haha.

Good advice! That and maybe an edge programmer is all I'm looking to do, at least till I get the itch, which I'm sure I'll get haha!

-Im leaving to go back to Iraq in march. Hopfully that baby will be paid for!!

Ahh you gotta LUV those STOCK F-150's....your's is pretty dang clean brother. Now it's time to start saving for that long list of MODS that all of us in here would be proud to recommend to you. I for one would start with ditching that factory intake system in favor of a "CAI" (Cold Air Intake) maybe a Airaid or K&N FIPK system. After that...well just let your imagination (and your wallet) run wild.

Have fun with it in that SNOW and WELCOME to the F-150 FAN CLUB!

Haha, my wife has been callin me the "Internet King". I didn't get online much till I bought the truck and joined this forum haha. I'd be lying if I told you I haven't been looking at all the mod threads haha. I'm happy with everything I have. I know the bigger tires, programmer, and CAI are going to be in order after while haha. Man I didn't know what I've been missing ..

The thing I love most, is how solid the truck feels when I drive, take turns, drive through a snowy field, and take bumps. Feels like a beefy truck. Couldn't be happier with the 5.4 power. It feels nice being able to tow an enclosed trailer and not get bulged down like I use to with my old crappy @#$ trailblazer.... Honestly I've only ever owned GM Suv's and trucks. Everyone that I've owned and drove, felt uneasy. It either rattled or didn't feel solid over pumps or uneven ground. Thank you ford gods haha

WOOHOO!!!
haha thanks for all thee advice Dadscrew and everyone else!!

Another F-150 brother has joined our "secret online society"....good luck with the wife regarding your new "addiction" to our site. Mine thinks I'm down in the basement looking at ****....she has no idea I'm talking to dudes about trucks. The way I see it, I am the luckiest man in the world (along side most of you I'm sure) because I have a loving wife, two beautiful girls, "and a F-150". Who needs **** when you have all this? I hope this reply doesn't get me booted out of this club

yeah, welcome to the forum and thanks for serving this country

now on to some recommendations

i had an edge programmer & it was great, combined with an exhaust & an cai it really opened the truck up & made it perform alot better & in my case i got better gas mileage

another thing i would like to recommend is the volant cai, its alot different than the k&n, airaid, etc because its a closed box like your factory intake, so in this case it doesnt pull hot air out of the engine compartment which robs power

but its a lot larger of a intake & the intake tubes are larger & less restrictive than stock

nice truck & again thanks for serving our country
good luck over there, yall are in our prayers
-Sean

HAHAHA thats rich! Mine wonders why I dont stare at **** all day haha....

Thanks all you guys for the posts and encouragement.. And thank you for all the kind gestures, It's very appreciated!

All the mod tips have been good too. I've been out running around, visiting family and hangin around with the wife, and I cant stop thinking about all the awesome mods out there haha. CRAP! I know this is where my pocket change is gunna end up haha.

I've heard nothing but good things about that edge programmer. I know hypertech makes a programmer for diesels that is amazing! I think its called the hyperpac. Its a 7in LCD touch screen, pretty wicked. I don't think they make stuff like that for gassers. So far I've heard edge is the best, plus just the ability to read fix and clear error codes is worth it to me.

So it went from me just wanting bigger tires one day, to chrome side steps, locking diffs, CAI , Edge att programmer, toolbox, and lord only knows what else, I hope thats all I'll ever wish for haha....

Thanks for all the posts, and I hope the rest of this super secret squirrel club are as nice and helpful as you all are! ha ha

Casey,

Thanks! This will be my 3rd and final tour over there, so Im pretty confident about it. Just looking forward to getting back to my wife and of course my F150

I've been doing a lot of messing around and I think that a locker, lower gears bigger tires are my very first mod... My H9 LSD is not so hot haha. Better than open I guess!

Thanks again dadsscrew!
