Fabtech vs. ProComp 6" Suspension Lift

What lift is perfer on an 06 Ford F150 4x4, Fabtech or ProComp or others? ProComp seems to offer a better price.

Also, what are the advantages of going with the coil over shock vs. non coilover? I also plan on installing a 3" PA body lift.

If you're set on getting a 3" body lift why not go ahead and get an 8" suspension kit? What size tire are you gonna be running?

Between those two I'd go with Fabtech. The Procomp lifts look a little flimsy to me but thats just my opinion. You might also consider Skyjacker, and of course there is the Rize kit. The coilovers will give you a little extra height and a smoother ride especially if you plan on doin any off roading.

you get what you pay for!!!!!! if your into off roading you may want the coil over just all around better performance..... a body lift.... they get talked down alot but if you dont want to spend the extra money on an 8" do it its you truck! (if you want the 8" kit) no offence to rize but if you want to offroad get a CST, rize is nice but it uses sock upper control arms and has very little ground clearance cst comes with aftermarket upper control arms which are price at $650 sepperate from the lift and you can get it with the lift for about $300more the the rize and the rize doesnt come with them!!! CST!!!!! do it

Yes, I do want to do some off roading and I plan (as of now) to put 35x13.50r20 tires. Price comparision on the 8" to the 6" is a big difference. CST sells their for about $3500 and I seen procomp 6" on ebay for $1100 (non coilover). Skyjacker I've seen (coilover) for $1950. Skyjacker offer a full rear spring install ($2350).

If I go with full rear spring install, can I install a rear block kit to get an additional 3 inches in the rear and put a 3in. shock spacers in the front? This will give me the 9in I want.

Rize wouldn't do me any good if it doesn't give me good ground clearence.

Why wouldn't the 8 inch Rize give you good ground clearance?

i just orderd my cst for $2900 so there are deals out there check out performancelifts.com. i wouldnt put a spacer (leveling kit) on top of a lift if you want to offroad alot it ok for normal street driveing and a small but not very agressive amount of offroading. WANDELL the rize subframe drop is larger im not sure how much but i was told around 2.5"-3" that could make the differance between rubbing on a rock or not..... plus they look so nice i wouldnt want to take a rize lift in the dirt!!! hahaha

You got a point there. The Rize looks more like a work of art than a suspension lift!

i know plenty of people who offroad with the rize lift & they have had no problems with them at all, but the cst does seem to have more ground clearance, but your angles arent near as perfect as they are with the rize
and if i remember correctly the rize is a full 8" drop

thanks for putting those pictures up for me! CSt claims there angles are back to stock specs.... but i see what you mean.... the major differance in the two are the upper control arms and CST has um!! so even if the angles are off you upper control arms/ balljoints will be fine.
