I'm in about the same situation at BalogUK. I've had my 2.5 Daystar kit on my truck for about 25,000 miles, and my ball joints are still tight. My upper arms do not hit the coil springs with this kit, even when jacked up by the frame. I occasionally offroad my truck also, maybe once every other week or so, and that is usually just field stomping or getting in a little mud. I'm 24 and bought my truck myself, so I can't afford to beat the slop out of my truck and expect it to last, that's why I bought my $500 beater Bronco for the hard-core stuff. I don't expect the upper control arms to last forever, especially with the 35's on it, but that's the trade-off for better looks and better off-road capability.

Many more than just I have had the same bad results with different type of spacers.

PS: I had a Autospring 1-1/2" spacer/leveling kit on for about 5,000 of those miles.
no- thump, you misunderstood me- in this thread there was one problematic experience- you know just as well as I do that there are a good number of people with issues due to spacers--regardless of manufacturer-- im not singling out any one over the other- or even denying that there are problems. i read that guys post and it seemed to me he had just jumped to the conclusion that the 2.5 is 100% bad based on the 10 previous posts...so i just broke it down to what was actually said in those 10 posts- one of which was your experience with the daystar & miles on it... hence the reason i referred him to 04-07 cause this topic has been beat to death 300+ times down there and has MUCH more information to produce an opinion...

Any leveling kit is apt to cause problems because they all change the suspension geometry.

My truck will never see the mud or any kind of off road driving. If ya goin’ to build a off road truck stay away from these spacers & body lifts and get ya self a suspension lift! I know of someone out there that makes a 3” suspension lift for our trucks. I think it’s Rough Country, maybe? I just wanted a better stance & that is what I got with this spacer. Or better yet, invest the money in a beater. My 96 Explorer is a beast off road & I don’t care if I lose the bumper, or smash the fender. Ya not truly off roadin’ unless ya take out a couple trees anyway!!

Yeah, I wanted a better stance too, that's why I'm taking off the spacers and aal and putting on 2" gf drop shackles.

Many users experienced this with the old design, however it never really caused a problem other than the dreaded noise..
Unless they are still selling the old designs, I just bought and installed a 2.5 autospring and have the same issue with the upper arm coming down and making contact with the coil during daily driving.

Edit to above...I believe my issues are caused by my sway bar ends being too loose, but I'll know this weekend for sure.
