I have a 05' STX and was recently in an accident. Front end collision. The damage didn't look to bad, but I was told by the body shop that Ford engineers do not want any front ends repaired, but replace the frame instead. And as it would happen, Ford had placed a hold on all shipments of frames because of "Engineering Issues". I'm not questioning whether the frame should have been replaced or not. Actually, I'm rather pleased. I'm just curious if anybody has any information regarding these "Issues"this.
