8 hrs. and lifted!

Went much better than I thought, just need to get it aligned on Monday. Now just saving to buy the 35x12.5 r18 BFG MT's that i'm mounting on the the factory rims. The Rancho kit is a nice set up and after all the speculation its exactly 4" of lift. This is the perfect height for me, fit 35's without any rubbing and the front end angles are all perfect. Besides the truck looks the way its supposed to look in the first place.

Is the Rancho complete bolt on? How much do they run? thats just the amount of lift I will want someday. It looks like a 1.5" AAL in the back wouldnt hurt either.

Yes it's a complete bolt on...need to modify one bracket (think you do on all the lifts though) I paid $1750 with RS9000 shocks included. Dont get me wrong I think the 8" Rize or 6" Fabtechs are nice but with kids etc. I found this to be the perfect compromise...all I wanted is to run 35's. As far as an AAL, the truck sits perfectly level which is what I wanted.

Muddyape... Excellent job! How long did it take you to install? And yes the one bracket must be modified on all lifts I beleive, which is the front differential OEM bracket on the frame(needs to be trimmed to allow clearance for the new differential drop location.) Your truck really looks great. I opted for the 4.5" Superlift and have no complaints. I was worried about my ride quality but after all was said and done the ride is a little stiffer but maintained a very comfortable smooth ride. I am completely satisfied. I was going to keep my stock rims as well but decided to go with after market and 35" tires. Also I'm glad you verified the 4" verses 5.5" issues. I have a buddy with the Rancho system on his GM truck He really thrashes it and has had no complaints. Oh he does have one issue, his front tire tracking width gained about .5-1" Have you noticed this? I am not saying its a bad thing, I'm just asking if yours is this way?

I know you are stoked. .. I can't wait to see your tires on it. When are you expecting to accomplish that? Congratulations on your choice. The truck looks great.

BoB, I cant say for sure about the wheel track being increased at least not tonight (it's a bit towed out at the moment) but I will check tomorrow after the alignment. To be honest with you I hadnt thought about it until you just mentioned it. I couldnt be happier about having it on....been dreading it and unable to wait all at the same time. My buddy and I used his shop (lift, air tools etc) yesterday and it took us 8 hrs. total (including lunch) to complete. As far as the rims I am really happy with these chrome factory 18's. With the tires I got a quote of $1230 mounted and balanced for the 35x12.5 r18 BFG MT's and i'm about halfway there. Problem is i'm paying cash for everything and sneaking it past the wife at the same time. Not easy skimming that kind of dough Figuring middle of January.

As for the tire tracking width ... I'm just curious if it appears on Fords or just on the Gm products. Gosh, you did the whole thing in eight hours(If I would have read your original title I would have seen that..Duh) Must have had a nicely outfited shop. The stock tires you have will last awhile... But I understand, It seems like once this Modifying starts its always... what Next. I can relate to the money and family and of course the Boss(wife) Until I retired and was able to open a separate banking account for my MOD money it was tuff to convince my "Better Half" as to why I need it NOW. It will happen for you, just look at what you have already accomplished. You should be proud... and drive that baby with a big because you will notice all the attention you'll be getting. Excellent Job. BoB
