Body lift, how it looks

How does a body lift change the look of a truck? I have a 2006 f150 and was wondering if i put a 3" body lift on it, would the exterior of the truck change except for the distance from the ground and the lift in the wheel well, like exhaust and bumbers and all, how would that look change??? and how does it look, and if it did change, is it hard to move things to make the look go back to stock, with the 3" kit?

The kit will include brackets to raise the bumpers. Your towhooks and receiver hitch will stay at the same height.

so will my exhast stay in the same place as well and how does this look like this? Do you know of anyone who has pictures of how this may look so i can get some sort of idea of the look? Also the time and cost it would take to lift the body using the body kit? Some round about price for it, so i can try to figure out the best route to go. I am looking for a 4-6" overall lift and so i would need a body kit and leveling kit or suspension and body lift, but i think the body and leving would be most inexpensive, the only issue with it is the body kit i have heard is very expensive to install considering i do not think i can do it myself. Any suggestions let me know, thank you, and the 3" skyjacker is only like 200 or 250 and that is why i am looking to go that route.

You can raise up your exhaust after the lift to make it look stock again.

the questions u are asking is the reason y i dont like body lifts. everything that is not attatched to the body stays lower. and to me his is not atractive and looks very cheap. u cant go buy pictures either because when u see something in person u always find more faults with it.

spindles and blocks, what exactly do these two things do, and what would be the maximum rize on these. If i were to level the front with 2" or 2.5" kit and then do spindles or blocks, what would my overall raised height be. I am looking for around 3-4 inches total. I would do a body lift, but i have no idea how much the install will cost, and i dont feel like spending almost 800 or 1000 for it, because at that point i may as well get a suspension lift, anyone know, how much it would cost to buy and install a 3" body lift along with the movement of the exhaust and all, just a basic cost. Thank you.

No one makes lift spindles for your truck. They were available for 97-04 F-150 4x2's. They are basically the piece that connects the upper and lower a-arms and the hub bolts to them. They are not available seperately for your truck, but new spindles (aka knuckles) are included with a complete suspension lift.
The cost of a Performance Accessories body lift for your truck is around $230. Installation cost will vary, but I would guess it would be in the neighborhood of $500 to $800.

Here's what it looks like...I paid 1200 for everything which included PA 3 inch Body Lift, PA Gap Guards (a must), and 2 inch Daystar Leveling Kit.

Didn't relocate anything i.e., muffler. You are going to lose tow hooks and towing capabilty on 2006 model unless you leave the rear bumper in place (rear bumper is different from all others)...huge gap between tailgate.

FYI...3 inch PA Body Lift Kit is not available yet. I had 2004-2005 kit installed and had rear bumper brackets fabricated (only modification). I have the template if you decide to do it.

Good Luck!

what do you mean lose towing capability, as in towing a boat? Also does the muffler hang well below the body, and whats the gap like by the tailgate, anyway you have any pics of the muffler and tailgate? Thank you. Also how much did u pay for the actual install of it all, any idea? not including the cost of products.

Towing Assembly was integrated in the 2006 Rear Bumper (1 piece). I'm a Flareside, so what I'm about to say may not apply to all 2006 models. Normally, the towing assembly is mounted to the frame and the rear bumper is on brackets to the frame. On my truck, there are 3 huge bolts on each side, attaching the rear bumper/towing assembly to the frame of the truck. When you relocate using brackets (raising it 3 inches), you lose integrity and it is unsafe to tow anything because rear bumper/towing assembly is no longer directly bolted on to the frame. PA has an install note on this issue for the 2004/2005 kit...now it might be different for the 2006 kit.

Bottom line, IF your rear bumper and towing assembly is seperately attached to the frame and you just raise the rear bumper on a body lift, than YES you can still tow.

I don't have pictures but I can take them...just imagine a 3 inch drop on the muffler...3 inch gap between tailgate and muffler.

750.00 for labor on the lift.

Hope this helped...LMK if you still want pictures of the muffler.
