question

im asking for a friend how much would it cost to install a 2in body lift for a 1990 jeep wrangler yj .. thanks alot

Aaaa. This is a f-150 forum. Most of us don't own jeeps. Try calling a local 4x4 shop!!

Prices for installation are different all around the country, i was quoted 600 for the kit and installation on my f150 in san antonio, TX

You don't need to pay someone for that. Its an easy job. All you need is an impact gun, a jack, and some blocks. As long as the mounts aren't rusted anyway. If you elect to pay someone, don't be suprised to find it at about $60 an hour, and those who know how to do it can do it in about 2 hours. Also, I would go with a three inch body lift. The body sits on 1 inch rubber bushings, so a 2 inch is only realistically going to give you 1 inch of lift. Sometimes with 2 inches, and always with three inches you'll need to "adjust" the shifter. If you don't drop the transfer case, you might get a driveline vibration. There's a lot of little "add ons" that can make it take longer, but you won't have teo shell out a few hundred bucks to get it installed.
