Skyjacker Vs. Fabtech
Yeah, I've been in that one. You should see this jeep they just did. They dropped in the new 6.1L hemi, stretched it to 4 doors, added a full custom air suspension, and the final bill with all of it was $100K
They build some crazy shiat, but when customers have unlimited deep pockets, you know......
They built a 2003 Chevy back when it first came out, Fabtech custom made thier kits off this particular truck (at an amazingly high cost) and nowadays it rides on dumptruck tires its so big. He gets tickets all the time, and he tell them "Could you hurry up, I 've got more money than you have tickets!"

Oh tell me, who do I have to kill?.?.? Yeah, I guess our shade tree mechanics are no match for those with the big bucks. But I'd take all that I know and have learned because I've had to do things myself than all that money. With money, you can always rely on someone else to get you out of a jam. With knowledge, you only have to rely on yourself.
Its not that the mechanics are any better, just that they have more expensive parts to bolt on. Granted, that jeep would be an exception with all the shiat they had to do to it. But I have watched some of their trucks from ground up, and its just swappin parts
yeah, I won't be getting a 6" lift or anything near it, I'm going w/ the skyjacker 3". But I have really looked into rancho lately and read all the posts of people who have their lifts and shocks. Impressive, seems like quite a quality brand and comfortable ride for these trucks, great warranty. Like thumper said, the 4" lift actually gives the truck about 5" or more when its all over with. I've read that more than once and I think seen pics of the measurements. Plus the 9000x shocks are superb. Far as skyjacker, I've looked into it a lot too and have formed the opinion from all the readings and posts that it is a great brand as well. Not sure about the sky 6" lifts though. But skyjacker is a quality brand I believe. I have the 3" kit on order.
