Does anyone know where i could maybe get some directions on installing a body lift? I bought one today but i didnt wanna spend 500 for ****ing labor when i can sweat my own damn self.... and does anyone know what kinda tools and sizes? By the way its for a 2003 f-150 4x4 single cab!

first thing i would suggest is a have a buddy or two for help. second have a good socketset and wrenches. third a it would be nice to have a lift, but a floor jack or two will do. a few blocks of wood, some good penatrating lube and a few alcoholic beverages for celebrating afterwards. also if you have a manual trans, you will need to get a shifter extention. this is not included in the kit. hope all this helps and good luck.

here is a with the instructions inpdf format(second post), just in case you are missing a page like i was.

I don't think you HAVE to have a shifter extension with a 5 speed. If you don't, your shifter will just be 3 inches shorter.

What brand kit did you purchase? Go to their webside and look up the install instructions.

the extention you dont need. i didnt put one and i like the shifter shorter. yes welding is required. after the lift is installed, between the bed and the frame is little metal block that need to be welded.

I drilled holes in the block and mounted them using bolts through the frame.

No, I used stainless steel grade 8 bolts and they get dirt and crap all over the threads and it jams them.
