Help - need advice

I want to raise my 01 2WD SuperCrew. Will this kit work? I would like to spend less than $200. How do you know if you need to replace your shocks with it?

Yes, the Performance Accessories kit would be a great way to inexpensively lift your truck. A body lift has no affect at all on any of the suspension components, that's why nothing is mentioned about shocks.

Parisdog,

Do a search on PA Body Lift and you will find a great many threads that discuss the installation and the kit.

I posted the instructions for the kit on my website

It is a 4 meg file.

What is the difference between a body lift and a suspension lift? Which one is better? Which one is easier to install? I want to raise my 2WD to the same height as a 4WD. Do I use a body lift or suspension lift?

A body lift raises only the body and does not affect suspension at all. They are much less expensive and if you are looking for additional height only, the body lift is the way to go. Check my gallery for pictures before and after my body lift.

So, on a 4WD, is the suspension higher than a 2WD? or just the body?

The suspension. The body lift will compensate. A friend of mine has a 2000 Supercab that is 4WD. We sit at the same height now.

Yeah, stock vs stock, a 4x4 is approximately 3 inches taller than a 4x2. The front suspension is completely different. 97-03 4x2's use a-arms and coil springs up front. 97-03 4x4's use a-arms and torsion bars.
