Question for those with cranked bars

OK, so I want to crank my torsion bars to get 1 - 1.5 inches of lift up front. I will alos be purchasing new shocks to replace my stock ones. I called Rancho to ask what they recommend for front shocks with a 1-2" lift. They say the stock replacements they have will over extend and should not be used and the ones for the 4" lift are too long. I would really like to get Rancho RS9000Xs. What do you guys use up front when you crank up your bars?

Thanks for the help,
Rich

You need a replacement shock for a stock truck. If you crank up or decrease the preload on the torsion bars, you still have the same amount of travel.

Because of limitations of traveling between the upper and lower limts of travel (bumpstops or snubbers) replacement of shocks after doing a torsion bar lift is not necessary.
