Alright, I'm very late replying to this thread, but only because I just joined the F150 online message boards while searching for a solution to the annoying steering squeak. So what is it about the pitman arm that causes this squeak? Will it cause any damage if left alone? I've been mighty slow with getting this fixed; I hope I didn't mess anything up.

Thanks guys,
dave

I had the same problem with my 4X4 F-150, anytime you moved the stearing it would sqeak, badly! You can fix it by using a grease needle fitting to push grease through your pittman arm rubber seal and the other joints as well on the front end of the truck. worked great for me.

Just a quick question...was this problem fixed for 98, 99, or later? I have a 2000 4x4. Just wondering if I should expect the same. thanks.
