Post I Was Wondering?

The other day I was at a light off the freeway and this green F350 comes to a stop beside me. This thing must have had a 4ft lift the front bumper was about eye level with me in my 4x2 F150. So I was wondering how in the hell did he climb into his truck and also how can this be legal I thought there was a limit on how high or low your bumber can be.

4ft of lift DAMN!!! Bet that was expensive..lol. He probably gets into his truck with a trampoline or something.

ABLE TO LEAP TALL TRUCKS IN A SINGLE BOUND.

Some states don't have limits on how high you can lift a vehicle, just like some have requirements on how far out past the body the tires can stick out. In Iowa you can only "legally" lift a truck more than 3" over stock, but fender flares aren't required for wide tires.

LOL powerstroke73!!

InfiniteMhz, I'm surprized. You forget where you are, Texas! The bigger it is the MORE legal it is!! Sheez. Where I'm at, if you have anything below a FULL sized pickup or car you'll get laughed at then runned over. ;-) Gig'em.

Nater,

That's true, he had a logo on the side of the cab that read "Texas Land Of The Giants" The truck looked so top heavy though I wonder what its like to drive in something like that, seems like a huge gust of wind or sharp turn might tip it over.

Actually, with bigger/wider tires he could take a corner pretty sharply at a decent speed. It just all depends on the setup. The ride and turn radius suffers but driving is about the same. Just have to get used to the trampoline.

The only law I remember having to do with a truck like that would be the lights. The head and tail lights can not be more than 4 feet from the ground. I use to do inspections(or infections) for this great state. All other laws, if I remember should be the same as a normal veichel.

I've seen in REALLY big trucks that they have a Headlight replacement kit. It moves the Lights down below the grille so that the truck passes inspection. Now Thats BIG

At the risk of being killed....WHO IN THE HELL WOULD WANT A TRUCK THAT BIG ON THE STREET?!!! It's worthless. Unless you have lots of money to "blow" (which he must to have 4 foot lift), you couldn't use it off-road without breaking a lot of parts. I could be wrong. That's just what my common sense tells me. But, I haven't been wrong since the last time.
