I keep a golf umbrella, windshield scraper and a fire extinguisher under the rear seats. Perfect for long items.

Hmm lets see the rear seat....

- rope
- power screw driver
- various other tools
- power inverter
- portable air compressor
- jumper cables
- drugs{backspace, backspace, backspace, backspace, backspace}
- club (for those bad areas not that kind, the one you put on your steering wheels)
- 1.5 million candle power cordless light

Thats it for now....

Right now, all I've gott under there is a window squeegee, but then again, I've only had the truck for 24 hrs, so give me a little time!

I remember seeing a really cool "security drawer" that could be installed under the front seat of a truck. It could be opened by a key or by an electronic solinoid switch. It was spring loaded, so once activated, it sprung out, allowing immediate access to "whatever" you were securing.

Storage

I found a small, low profile, inexpensive toll box that fits nicely under the seats. I have the area under my seats and behind the seats filled with stuff. This includes tire chains, first aid kit, flashlight, bottle jack (in addition to the standrd jack), hitch tow chain, umbrella, poncho, bungee cords, socket wrench set, jumper wires, blanket and baseball bat. The toolbox holds small, misc tools like pliers, wrenches, etc. The stuff just fits uner and behind there.

Some people think I am crazy carrying all this stuff but there has been at least one occaision when I have used all of these items either for myself or in aid of another motorist.

I never fold the rear seat so clearance is not an issue

I'm not proud of this, but I just use the cardboard flats from cases of canned soda or juice. Fits real nice under the driver's side rear seat.

I bought a black plastic box at Sears that fits under the rear seat. Dimensions are about 4" deep x 6" wide x 16" long. Big enough to put misc. tools in, small enough to fit under the right rear passenger seat. That allows me to fold down the left side rear seat.
