Under Seat Storage

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if any of you guys use the underneath of your rear seats in your Screws for storage? Nothing big you know. Something small enough to hold maybe gloves, flashlight, tie downs, bungie cords etc. I can't seem to find anything to fit underneath the seats.

Does anyone have any ideas??

Thanks,

Jim

I keep a seat cover for when I don't want to put an item in the back or fold down the seat backs. It keeps the leather clean. I also keep a box of wet wipes, a phone book and a first aid kit under there. You're right about there not being a lot of space under the seats, but every little bit helps.

I use a small canvas bag for tools - it holds everything...bungee cords, tie-downs, rope etc. It can be shoved under the seat very easily.

I manage to keep a tow rope, tie downs, rope, electrical adapters, ball for receiver, and a few other items in the compartment behind the seat.

But, I keep a 4-way lug and the California duster UNDER the back seats.

But do you guys use anything like a toolbox or crate to put all of your stuff in it?

Easiest solution is just to use a heavy canvas bag or even a knap-sack. There isn't a huge amount of room under the rear seats, and it helps if the storage container is pliable.

I was looking for something a little more versatile and tough. I know the Chevys/GMC's actually have a toolbox that is custom fit for underneath the rear seats on the ext cabs. They are quite nice but a bit expensive.

I was hoping that Ford made something similar but i guess not.

Thanks guys,

Jim

seat storage

actually ford does make an underseat storage for extended cabs it has the ford logo on it and it fits under both flip up seats, I don't know if it incorporates the jack or not but it does go dfrom one side to the other.

mbuechler,

Thanks for the link. It looks like a cool site. I did not notice the seat storage however. Did I miss something?

Nevermind

Had a problem with the link at first. That sucks, they only make it for Supercabs and I have a Supercrew.

Thanks for your help.

The rpoblem with screw rear seats (well mine anyway, I have the 60/40 split) is when they fold forward they also lower and the base of the seat moved forward and down, significatly reducing space as its folded forward. I dont care for the design myself, Im not a very tall guy (5'11") and I cant fold the rear seat down without moving mine forward because the rear headrest hits the back of my seat. Behind the rear seat is all speakers now so I guess I dont have to worry about it anymore, it was nice having a little storage though.

Zyg,

When I fold down the rear seats, I remove the head rests, then place the headrest under the rear flap on the back of the rear seat. It then folds flat without having to move the front seat forward.
