How many grease fittings should I expect to find on a 4x4 Screw?

I'm gonna get under there and look, but I don't have a good idea how many I will find on the 4x4.
Let me know if you've done this before.
Thanks!

If it's like my 2002 ext cab lariat 4x4, should be two in the steering linkage, toward the passenger side of the front end. [If I weren't in a fog right now, I could "name that part".....sorry]

Cheers

I found both of them. I'm sure there is a proper name for this part but it's the arm that connects the steering box to the wheels...Idler arm maybe?

Screw,

I'ts called the Pitman Arm. The Pitman Arm connects to the steering link or drag link and the other end of the drag link connects to the Idler Arm. From each end of the drag link, each wheel gets a connection called a tie rod. Each tie rod has a link and two tie rod ends. All those components pretty much make up a steering system linkage.

In the past, each connection point where you can have movement, there was a grease fitting to add grease. Today, lots of steering linkage components are greased for life and don't have fittings. Sometimes when you purchase after market replacements, they will be equipped with grease fittngs.

Hope this helps,

~DM~
