what kind of grease??

I'm a bit of a newby to this whole maintenance thing, so help me out. What kind of grease should I be using to grease the fittings. I don't know what kind of grease is in there now (whatever Ford uses). Is it OK to mix different greases (normal and synthetic)? Since I'll be using this on a jet ski as well, I want to use marine grade grease. Will that still be OK for the truck as well? What kinds would you recommend? Thanks!!
