Hey lsu,

I can't help you with your question but I was born in Baton Rouge, we've got something in common.

thanks for the replies, first kurt's wants about 2500 dollars to do it, and they wont even do the lift kit i want. i am considering doing it myself. for the 500+ dollars i am going to spend on labor i figure i could buy all of the tools needed. that way i could learn about my truck and have a mess of tools when i am done. i would also know i did it right. i am just worried that i will get right to the end and not be able to complete a step. then i would be really screwed.

Daveman, did you tighten the bolts on your torsion bars all of the way? Also, did your wheel need an allignment after?

lsu,

Tightened the drivers side three turns, the passenger side 5 turns. No alignment issues ever. It's been raised up for a year now.

lsu that sounds like a plan. I think you will do just fine. I always lay it all out and do a dry run before the real deal to flesh out any potential problem areas.
