Unhappy Calling all "Whiteys"

I just picked her up tonight, I think she is great and has wonderful potential, but I took some grief from my wife and some crap from co-workers. Why, because she is white. Seems that everyone thinks I should be a delivery or construction truck. So I got a small complex coming home

So here’s the question, what are some things done that the <snooty> Oxford White <end snooty> folks have done to break the color up a bit. Mind you she is an XLT so a solid white except around the windows. I think some black accents will do nice, but one thing I believe in is subtlety goes a long way.

Things I am looking to do: replace front bumper with a more aesthetic one, front window tint, bed cover, roll pan, eventually 18" to 20" rims, catback, k&n. . .

Uh hem. . .

Hope to have a couple pictures up tonight.

Thanks

The WeatherTechs are subtle , look good and functional . Chrome grills , fog-lights , Snugtop , bedrug ..... and there is always the option of FLAMES

Wink It's like working with a new canvas

I would have to say the more I stand back, the more I see the potential to her. My wife wants Nerf bars immediatly (short statur hehe) and I want the bed cover asap.

I have toyed with L rims (the 16's HAVE to go) but I cant replace them till the tires wear out (burnouts anyone )

I also love the L front bumper, but my Screw is NOT by any means an L and I would feel like a poser.

It had also been suggested that I apply a color to the lower rocker panel. Hmmm chrome rocker panels

Speaking of flames, I had thought of adding a nice color to the front and blending it back to the white. COOL

you did good....

Oxford white was my first choice. All that matters, is that you like it... Congrats on your new truck.

I love my white truck, no regrets and the only appearance thing I did to mine was to tint the windows some more. Check out my pics link in my signature.

Don't worry what anyone else has to say about your white truck. Just sit back and enjoy the fact that you won't have to run to the car wash every time someone within a 2 mile radius stirs up some dust.

White was right, for a couple of weeks

Here in Arizona, 80% of vehicles seem to be white.
I like white, its cool, easy to care for and Every other color goes with it, as an accent color. I was stopped at a stoplight one evening, and three out of 4 corners had white SCrews waiting at the light. It was right then I decided to do something about it.
You and your wife, need to put on dark glasses and have a gander at my photos in the 2001 SCrew album in yahoo

Cut and paste the yahoo address in my signature to get to my photo albums. You might like what you see, but you cannot copy it, unless your into pointing and staring from the people you drive by.

Congrats on your new truck! White trucks are great, but I did get the two-tone look. Look at my gallery.

Today, I added a billet antenna w/chrome base. Looks awesome!

Lightbulb markers

wes - you've done it!!!! I am in the process now of going to Staples, I plan on buying as many white board markers as possible, a new paint scheme every day!!! make my own flames, draw "cool man" pin stripes. OH WAIT, racing stripes!!! Make my own NASCAR logos and sponsers! When it rains, oooooo psychedelic man, wow all the colors, man! "it's me dave! daves not here man!" Hmmmm there's a buisness in here somewhere

I'm just Screwin' around <groan>

Anyway, I fell in love with her all over agian on the way home. I am very pleased and in going through the F150 product links have MANY ideas
