Question

Hey Dufunnel,

I just looked at the OEMfordparts site and the power slider is $395 ordered on-line. Where did you get one for $200? At $200 thats a pretty good deal, at $400 I would think about it more. And why is it a $200 option from the factory, but $400 from Ford Parts aftermarket? That's a rip.

LakeSands,

Did you try Gary Starr @ Fordpartsonline.com ? Not sure if he can do any better but it is worth a try.....he's always beat any price i've gotten. This isn't an advertisment just a recommendation.

S'crewloose, yes the switch does light up when the lights are on, the sticker price on the factory sticker on the window said that this power slider was 224.00. When i ordered it the dealer wasnt sure if they would put it on there or i would have to order it, much to my surprise it came with it installed at that price if not i would order at 400.00 or better! Then get charged to have it installed!! So that leads me to presume that they are gonna start putting them on at the factory on the new screws.

The price is a result from the differnce in price. To say it easier, your truck has to come with a rear windshield- well the price that that windshield costs is $200 less than what the power rear slider would cost Do you understand? $200 is the cost to uprade from a standard rear windshield. ---Paul

Makes sense. Doesn't make it any easier to swallow, but I see the light through yonder power slider window

Mine may have been more like upper 200's, but I have had it for 9 months. You should shop around. I'm sure someone has it cheaper. Otherwise they wouldn't sell any of them.

You might be able to buy the power slider and sell your regular slider on ebay or on here in the classifieds.

I know there are several people out there with no sliding glass that would buy the manual one off of you. Not exactly sure what you'd get for it but, it's a thought. I mean, if you could get $125 for the manual slider, that's $125 less for the power.

I only got $50 for my manual slider when I bought my power slider. Apparently most people get what they want when they get the truck to begin with, so no one wanted it.

Hey guys,

Not sure if you all saw this or not but there is a group buy out there to get the CR Laurence power slider. If we can get 20 confirmed buys we can really bring the price down. Just trying pass the info. and help bring down the cost for the rest of us, thanks

That's great, how do we get in on a group buy?

FYI Last year I was looking for an 02 SuperCrew with a powe slider. They were out there, but I found very few. It's a great concept that I think will see on more SCrews from Ford.
