Bedliner Choices
Bedliner Choices
Dad wants me to get a Rhinoliner. They are nice but I know there are other spray liners out there. Please let me know your opinions. He will listen to you all before he listens to me.
Thank you in advance for your advice.

DEPENDS
I think it really depends on what you will be hauling. I considerd a "spray on" liner but didn't want something that was so permanent. Plastic liners scratch the bed so I went with a BedRug. Looks fantastic and can be removed easily if needed. Plus it works just as well
Good luck!

I agree with n6van, it depends what you are going to be hauling.
I use my truck mostly for hauling around stuff for the house and my kids soccer teams. The bed rug is perfect plus it isn't permanent and it looks fantastic.

Absolutely love my line-x. Have hauled all kinds off stuff in it, it is reasonably priced, and it takes the abuse really well. www.line-x.com
Line-x has a nicer texture IMO than Rhinoliner.

Have you guys seen the news stories regarding LineX? Aparantly the military is spraying it on concrete buildings. They say they have found that it helps the structures handle explosions better. It seems the walls sprayed with LineX crack instead of just crumbling to pieces. I have seen this story on the news twice in the past few months. I know LineX is tough but that is incredible!
As others have said, it depends on what you haul. I have a BedRug in the S'crew because it is more like our family "car". Looks great & works well.
I have an ARMA spray-in liner in my F350 which is used haul stuff. The ARMA appears to be the same material as Line-X. Which leads me to point out that the installer makes all the difference in how well the liner will hold up. I actually tore the Line-X that was in my previous truck because the installer sucked. ARMA was a little cheaper too.

Another vote for Line-X.
It looks better, in my opinion, than the others I looked at and it is really tough.
I haul a lot of dirt, so a bed rug won't work for me, so I can't comment on them.
What are you going to haul? If you are going to be sliding stuff around in the back, a slide-in may be best. If you don't want things sliding, the spray-in the the way to go.

I have the Dealer installed Ford Drop in liner. Inexpensive, looks good, wont scratch if you slide stuff around, and it's removable if you get tired of it. I figure if my bed gets old and scratched, I can always get a spray in later on.

Various and sundry items
There is no limit to the stuff I will be hauling. My Dad does woodworking and my Mom and Dad are big into cactus and desert landscaping. In fact, I had my truck for a mere 22 hours when Dad called asking me to pick up some plants for them. Also, my Mom and I like to go antiquing on occasion so it may be carrying a piece of furniture or two. There is a Line-X and a RhinoLiner company in my area so I have my choice depending on what you think. Although the Bed Rug would be okay if it was just wood and furniture, I am concerned about how it would take rocks, dirt and plants.
opinion
My opinion, go with the spray in liner. I don't think you can go wrong with either the line-x (this is what i have) or the rhino-liner. Go to each shop and ask to see an installation. Look to see how clean the line is where the spray-in stops (you can see this well on the tailgate itself). You'll be able to see a quality job.
I've know several line-x people who regularly lob shovels and stuff into the back of their beds and the stuff still holds strong.
