What GEN???
I've been reading this message board for the last month (ever since I picked up my Screw). Every once in a while I'll see people make reference to a Generation version (I, II or III). How do you tell which GEN you have? Also, what's the difference? I assume that I have a GEN III since my 2001 was built in August.
Thanks in advance

Hi Screw,
Here are a couple of posts I found with a simple search, check them out and see if they answer your questions. You can do the searches yourself by clicking on the button up top of this page marked SEARCH.....fill in the fields and click a few choice fields and away you go......where in Hawaii are you? most of my family has lived on Hawaii in Kona for the past 20 or so years....

Hey HI SCREW,
Not sure about Gen I and II, but I'm pretty sure that Gen IIIs have the new style seats with new style bolsters and head rests on the rear seats as well as the front ones. Not real sure but just thought I would try and say something that I think is correct.

Thanks for the links S'CrewLoose. I guess mine is a Gen III. Unless of course they've come up with a Gen IV?!?! Hope not!!
I live on Oahu, the wife has family in Kona though. I used to commute to Kona for work about 7 years ago. Beautiful part of the island, as long you like a lot of sun.
DAVEMAN, from what I've been reading, you're right about the differences. It also looks like they changed the center console and made the leather wrapped steering wheel standard.
Thanks guys.
