I'm getting 16 to 17 mpg on my 100 mile a day commute, flat highways but I have to deal with about 40 stop lights on my way. About 25 miles clear highway and 25 miles PITA stop light's!

My neighbor has a 2011 SuperCab with the same motor, not off-road and he's getting 16.8mpg.
Highest I ever got mine was 18.4, but usually average 18.3 according to the dash readout... about 50/50 city and highway.

Around town, I coast as much as possible and try to time the lights unless I am late for work then I drive like normal.

I set my cruise on highway at 55mph on a 65-70 mpg zone. Some pass me by like I was standing still... but some ride my bumper and draft off me for miles.

My SCREW is 4.6L 3v, 3.73, 4x4 with 6.5 bed... totally bone stock.

Forgot to list the gas from Costco: E10 (87 octane)

I don't know how some of you are getting 18+ mpg with the 5.4. I get about 13.5 driving 70% freeway/country roads, 30% city. Best I have EVER gotten purely freeway was about 15 and I was staying out of the peddle as much as possible going ~70 mph.

I get around 16 mixed driving nearly every tank when not towing. I am pretty easy on it and drive 40 miles roundtrip to work. But definitely do some city driving and haul the bikes around as well.

Interstate set at 70 with an occaional 80 to pass, 22.1. A week of mixed, more highway than town, 20. It is a SCrew, 5.0, 3.55 rear. The highway includes 2 people plus about 400 lbs of stuff.

I get around 13.5 in town, 16-17 highway. I drive it like there's a raw egg between my foot and the gas pedal, lol. Went from a '91 Honda Civic. The wife sent me out for a small truck and I came home with this. . .and lovin' it.

Now that is wuss driving and has probably lead to more than one episode of road rage!

Previously my '01 SCrew 5.4 was getting ~11-12 mpg with travel time split 50/30/20 (highway/city/off road). I just finished replacing plugs and doing some other maintenance and will be curious if I get an increase.
