Don't have the source book in front of me - do the 4.6L engines with the Super Cooling radiator get the same 1.42" as the 5.4L engines?
Everyone who's watching this, please email me your data - I'm collecting the information for use only in the event of litigation.

Here's the site for the specs on cooling systems. The SC (Super Cooling) 4.6L radiator should be 1.42"

Help!
Does anyone know whether this radiator sizing issue applies to Gen I Screws?
Where is the part number located on the radiator?
What are the part numbers for the two different sizes of radiators?
Thanks for the help.

Additionally, if there is anyone else monitoring these threads who has the wrong radiator and is from New York, please email me at jwright@law.harvard.edu.

Jim...
Here's another for the record. I made a unscheduled visit to my dealer this afternoon to discuss the radiator issue with the General Manager who I bought my 5.4L SCrew from.
Surprise, surprise, surprise, guess who happened to be in the dealership...The Dealer Operations Manager of the Denver Region of Ford's Customer Service Division.
I just happened to have with me (intentionally) a 3/4" thick set of documents consisting of all the threads from this site over the last 3 months. In addition to this I also had the 2001 Ford Source Book which clearly showed a 1.42" radiator for the 5.4L engine with SC upgrade.
I showed all this info to the the Denver Region Rep. and informed him of the concern across the country that Ford was "Screwing", (no pun intended) it's customers. While we discussed the documents the GM printed out his latest version of the Source Book which confirmed my documents. The Rep took this info with him.
He spent 10 minutes reading many of these posts. I asked him why Ford was silent about this issue and has not informed any dealers or posted a TSB if rumors are true about a specification change. He said he did not know but would check for me. He gave me his card and e-mail address and informed me he would contact me Wednesday with a response.
He also stated that Ford reserves the right to change their specs anytime. I replied, that may be true and no one can argue this, however, no company has the right to change a spec and continue to tout and sell a product as an optional upgrade for profit and not provide that product. He and the General Manager could not deny my statement and agreed with me.
I went on to say that we SCrew owners only want what we paid for as well as an answer from Ford on what is going on. He did see the thread on the potential Class Action movement against Ford. I commented that nobody wants to go there, especially Ford, let alone the local dealerships who will ultimately get the shaft (from Ford) if we win and Ford has to replace these radiators.
I think we are getting their attention. We still need everyone to push hard and be armed with this documentation, take it to their dealers and demand an answer.
A movement has begun and you can count me in to battle this to the end. Don't take no for an answer.
Onward!!!....

Good news for people willing to try. I found your website tonight and joined. I printed everything that I needed to make a case about the radiator. I am well known by service at the Ford dealership I go to because of my 97 F250 light duty lemon. But anyways I own a 01 Screw 4x4 5.4 lariat with the offroad and tow package group III. I went in there explained that I was supposed to get the Super cooling Radiator. A mechanic measured the radiator with the tape measure I brought and said yep you have the small one. My service manager advised me that there are 3 different ones. the 2 inch for the early 2001's and previous, and the new redesigned 1.42 for the supercooling to replace the 2 core. There happened to be a supercrew without the tow pkg. inside ford service and we popped the hood, small battery 550 cca, small radiator, and no receiver hitch. With the tow pkg III you get the bigger battery as well. They are calling me later today, March 21 to let me know when the correct radiator will be in. No arguements no hassel and I owe it all to you guys. The mechanic said this was the first he heard of it and he was going to go home and check his own truck. One bit of advise our service dept. is open to 2:00 am Mon-thurs. go in when the big guys are not there because the peons won't argue with you. My ford is good to me and also stick with the same service rep if you can. Making a good relationship with one can get you great service.
