Castrol High milage synthetic ?

Im hoping they do make it. I figured walmart just doesnt stock it. What Ive seen is ushually a couple bucks more than the Syntech in the 5 qt. jug. Now that my truck is getting up there in milage, (90k) I figure it couldnt hurt . except for in the wallet.

In my taco i was using Mobil 1 Extended life 15k Fully Synthetic and changing at 10k. still looked new when i changed the oil.
Mobil 1 does make 5w 20 Fully synthetic extended life, which I have found online to buy, if I can't find it locally.
i was just in walmart yesterday and they have the mobil 1 5w 20 in the fully synthetic...actually had the 5 quart on sale for $21

I've been using 5w20 in all my Fords since at least 2002. It's readily available at Wal-Mart, O'Reilly's, Advance, Pep Boys, Auto Zone, in many different brands: Motorcraft, Pennzoil, Valvoline, Quaker State, Mobil 1, and many, many others.

I cannot understand why you have difficulty in your neck of the woods.

Use only what they say...unless you are an automotive engineer. I understand that there are some tight places the oil must get to, something about a cam phaser. I was told to use the best filters and only 5-20 by my mechanic

Lucas what? That 'Stabilizer crap?

Don't do this - here's why: https://www.f150online.com/forums/v8...il-choice.html

NO additives are required or advisable.

BTW - MC semi-syn is also cheaper than CasterOil and at least as good...

That's good advise, the best! And use the blend.

I am using 5w-20 full syn in my latest truck (not a ford though) but some people are saying that the mobil 1 full syn causes more valve ticking that some other brands. I may switch next time and see if it really matters or not

I saw this weekend that Kmart is advertising Pennzoil full synthetic oil for $3.99 a quart. With most oils selling for $7-8 that is a pretty good deal on Pennzoil
